a recent colonoscopy showed melanosis coli caused by laxatives containing senna. i was told it was harmless and reversible if i stopped using the product. the problem is that it works better than anything i have tried. i have used this for 15 plus years but the last 4 or 5 i use 2 teabags each night. the other con is that the bags are literally falling apart after steeping. MAJOR PROBLEM. i find this more troublesome than the melanosis coli!
would recommend to healthy people for short term use and warn of the risks of long term use and the bags falling apart thing!

I have had this product for a while and use it when I feel I've become overly bloated. If you follow the directions properly, the loose stool is not terrible. Take it in moderation and you'll be fine. This product works and the taste isn't too terrible. I do not mind th taste of this product, but I also like the taste of unsweetened tea. For those that do not enjoy tea, beware of the taste of this product. Overall, I was happy with my purchase and will buy again.

I have used this tea for about 1 year already. The taste takes a little getting used to, but if you get the flavored ones, its not bad at all. It does work (cleans you out), so yes you do feel thinner because you are getting rid of the excess water weight. I have several friends who trusted my recommendation, who now enjoy it on a regular basis. I do recommend it.

This tea was actually prescribed to me by a GI specialist when I was suffering from chronic constipation. Be warned: Laci's tea makes you feel slimmer only because it gives you loose and frequent stools, for that "empty" feeling. It tastes absolutely horrid, and all the flavors taste the same due to the strong flavor of the active ingredient (senna, a stimulant laxative). I would never recommend this to a dieter because prolonged use of ANY stimulant laxative (including natural ones like senna) results in rebound constipation. It does work well for emergency situations in which you're quite "plugged up."
