The taste is awful in my opinion, and tastes NOTHING like banana bread WHATSOEVER. I have sampled many different types of natural energy bars, and this is hands down the worse I have ever had. It also is very dry, and the small bits of nuts got stuck in my throat and made me choke. They are also extremely overpriced! Do yourself a favor, and try the Luna Bars. The taste is superior to these (actually taste like the flavor they are), and they also are very fortified. Comments about Larabar Fruit and Nut Food Bar, Banana Bread, 16 ea: I am obsessed with this product. I love the taste (bananas!) and I love that it is all natural. I eat this product every morning for breakfast and it keeps me full until lunch. I had previously been using a different energy bar (Balance Bar) as my breakfast, but felt like all the chemicals and unnatural ingredients were messing with my insides. I switched to Lara Bar wanting a good taste and also something that would be good for my body. On Lara Bar's packaging, there are few ingredients, all things you can pronounce and know of (Almonds, Dates and Bananas). I love that I am putting food in my body and I know what it is. This bar is pricier than other bars, but that is because of the ingredients. It's a banana, not banana flavoring with some filler, like wheat paste.
