The shadow can be used by swiping a brush all over the Marble Shadow and stroking over the entire eyelid.  Or, you can identify different shades and tones within the compact and apply them individually...use darker tones in the crease and at outer corners, brighter ones to highlight.  You may also use the deepest tones as eyeliner, wet/dry.
