It does not burn the mouth, has a pleasant taste, and really does get rid of "morning breath" when used before bed. As a plus, my dental hygienist has noted that my gums have improved and my periodontal disease lessened since I have switched back to Lavoris from the other leading brand of mouthwash. Kudos to Drugstore.com for carrying hard to find items. This is now the ONLY place I can find Lavoris. I purchase several bottles at a time when I can find it. Apparently the manufacturer has changed over time. The formula used now is clearly NOT the same as it was the last time I bought it over a year ago. And definitely not the same as it was 10 or 20 years ago. It used to have a mild burn that left my mouth feeling very clean and refreshed. Never had cavities or bad breath when using this product in the past. Now, it has a strong and palatable cinnamon flavor. But the is no burn. Since my mother reached the status of centenarian this past summer (2012) and still has ALL of her own teeth, this is enough of a recommendation for me! As a child I recall hating to use mouthwash unless it was Lavoris because others all tasted so vile (like terrible cough syrup!). This zingy cinnamon flavor surpasses others in taste. I would suggest using a bib or leaning far over the sink to avoid splashing the red colored liquid, especially on a white blouse or shirt. I cannot find Lavoris in any of my local drugstores, so I was thrilled to discover that Drugstore.com stocks it! Pros Cons
