Comments about Learning Resources Visual Timer & Clock Ages 4+, 1 ea:

The difference between auto and manual timer is programming how long the different lights stay lit up. I want something to go off at 7:05 and tell my son how long he has to get on the bus. You can't make it do the same thing every day. You can't even set it to go off at a certain time. It's a [$] kitchen timer. But harder to use.

Comments about Learning Resources Visual Timer & Clock Ages 4+, 1 ea:

The Time Talker is a great idea and I know of many people who actually use it successfully. However there is no on/off power button, so the batteries are constantly being drained unless it is plugged into the wall. If it is plugged into the wall and you need to change location, you have to disconnect the cord from the device and then the wall or you will de-program the Talker. The audio feature did not work with our particular Talker and we had to send it back. The power cord is not included in the package and that is not indicated when ordering. It has to be ordered seperately for an additional $12-18. Kind of frustrating all around. We are trying it again because we need it for a particular child, but we will probably only use as a last resort with our clients.
