The Licefreee Brand established the non-toxic segment in 1999 that now includes Licefreee Gel, Licefreee Spray and Licefreee Shampoo.
Getting complete coverage of ingredients on the scalp has been an on-going problem/concern with consumers and reason for re-application. New Licefreee Gel with Root Applicator is the only product in the segment to address this problem. This unique and easy-to-use applicator sets the product apart and will drive incremental sales in the category.

Someone in a parent's chat list recommended this for removing lice and nits in one or two uses, and it really did! I thought I would have to be combing my kids hair weekly until they were out of elementary school. And it's non-toxic. It does have a smell, but that goes away in about two shampoos later.
One thing - I tried the spray in the store, but it didn't work on my daughter's very thick hair. If you have to wait to get the gel, it's worth it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Remove cap and tamper evident seal; replace with enclosed root applicator
Apply to dry hair and entire scalp, starting at the nape of the neck and behind ears (where lice congregate) and work forward
Thoroughly saturate all hair and scalp; to be effective, all lice and nits must come in full contact with the product
Put plastic cap on head and leave on for at least 60 minutes; for best results stay in warm room
With product still in hair, remove plastic cap and comb out all dead lice and nits with enclosed fine toothed comb; rinse comb out under running water
Once all lice and nits are combed out, rinse hair thoroughly with warm running water
Thoroughly inspect and comb hair and scalp a second time to ensure complete removal of all lice and nits
May be used as often as necessary; a second treatment in 7-10 days is recommended to kill any newly hatched lice
Children under 6 months of age: Do not use, consult a doctor.
Work under bright light such as near a lamp or natural sunlight
Leave gel in the hair while combing out dead lice and nits
Use a comb or brush to remove tangles before using the nit comb
Remove dead lice and nits by working through small, 1 inch sections. Insert the comb as close to the scalp as possible and then slide to the ends of the hair strand. Lice lay their eggs close to the scalp where it is warm
After each pass through the hair, rinse comb in water and wipe on a paper towel to remove the dead lice and nits
It can be difficult to find every nit with the first comb through. Nit combing can be repeated daily until you have found all of the nits
