I thoroughly enjoyed my first henna experience with this product. I've colored my hair for years with a traditional non-ammonia hair color, so felt comfortable already with coloring my own hair. This helps. This product seems like an art/science project, and fun. I used day old coffee and olive oil to try and steer the color towards brown and extra conditioning. I did make a mess, and was nervous about the results, but was overall pleased with how it ultimately came out. I let mine sit on my head for 1.5 hours. I'm wondering if I did my roots for awhile, and then put it in the rest of my hair for awhile might have gotten better coverage on my virgin roots. May try that next time. I also just tried the Cover the Gray by this same company - great coverage of my finicky grays, but the 2 step process is time consuming. This product has a simple 1 step process which is nice. I covered the plastic cap they provide with a shower cap to contain the mess while waiting. Hair is soft and shiny after. So glad to be away from un-pronouncable chemicals! Thank you and enjoy!
