This is honestly the first mouthwash I have used that has significantly cut down on the amount of tartar and plaque buildup in my mouth---to the point that my hygenist has remarked that she has noticed a difference! More so even than using Cool Mint Listerine or original Listerine. When I first starting using it a year ago, it did sting quite a bit and it was a struggle to get through 30 seconds. However keeping it up twice a day and using it with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda toothpaste has kept my teeth white and my mouth clean. Dental appts are no longer stressful and I'm in and out of the dental chair in no time versus having to sit for a longer cleaning due to plaque buildup. Would highly recommend to anybody. I had tears in my eyes and it seemed so strong. But, after using it daily (morning and evening) for a week, I have no problems using it at all. It seems like it's hardly tingling anymore. I've been using it for a couple of months now, and my gums feel much better. They're not so sensitive to hot and cold also. As an adult, I'm all about taking good care of the thousands of dollar's worth of orthodenture in my mouth. And Listerine is my good friend. I particularly like this flavor.
