This is honestly the first mouthwash I have used that has significantly cut down on the amount of tartar and plaque buildup in my mouth---to the point that my hygenist has remarked that she has noticed a difference! More so even than using Cool Mint Listerine or original Listerine. When I first starting using it a year ago, it did sting quite a bit and it was a struggle to get through 30 seconds. However keeping it up twice a day and using it with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda toothpaste has kept my teeth white and my mouth clean. Dental appts are no longer stressful and I'm in and out of the dental chair in no time versus having to sit for a longer cleaning due to plaque buildup. Would highly recommend to anybody. It really does a great job compared with the other Listerine products- Cool Mint, etc. HOWEVER, IT STAINS YOUR TEETH AFTER PROLONGED USE. I noticed that over time- give or take a month- my teeth started to get a very light blue hue. I stopped using it and after a number of brushings it went away; then when I went to my dentist for my semi-annual 6 month checkup and cleaning he noticed the bluish color on the inner-side of my teeth and said it was really difficult to get off. I went back to Cool Mint. I expected minty flavor, but it smells like old granny. Anyway, it cleans well and refreshes breath.
