The Listerine that came in our latest shipment is the new and improved citrus and has a weird after taste that my husband can't stand. So we're moving away from citrus to one of the mint flavors. (He is now 12 and has never had a cavity). In fact, he has convinced the entire family to use it now so we only buy one flavor for the house. It is far superior in taste to the candy and sweet kiddy flavors of competitors, and suits young and mature taste buds alike. Even with brushing twice a day with a Sonicare toothbrush and flossing every night, I still couldn't reduce the size of a couple of deep dental pockets I had in the back of my mouth. So I decided to give Listerine a try, added it twice a day, and it worked like a charm -- reduced the pockets by at least one "size, some down two. This new flavor is a God-send. Do not buy this product thinking you're going to be gargling orange juice. It has a nice citrus taste and yes it does somewhat taste like medicine, but guess what? It IS medicine. The breath freshening doesn't last very long but it still gives the same fighting power that all of the other Listerine products give. So if you are thinking of switching to this product because of the idea that it wont burn your mouth as bad, just stick with the brand you're used to. Don't buy it expecting it to taste like orange juice, but it is much less strong than previous Listerine versions. The blue version burned my mouth so much that I had to dilute it a bit, but this orange one I was able to handle straight from the bottle. It's still mediciney...but that's because it's medicine. You shouldnt want it to be so sweet that you're tempted to chug it. It really IS less intense, just like the commercials say. The taste is pleasing and not at all overpowering. I now use the Natural Citrus Listerine every time I brush! Definitely a keeper in my book! Sweet and orangey, it's much more pleasant than the other flavors, and not nearly as foul tasting. I find the flavor very tolerable and it leaves my mouth and breath fresh. It was recommended to me for fighting tartar and the beginnings of gum disease and after 6 weeks, the dentist gave me much higher marks and said the gum diseases was eradicated.
