The Listerine that came in our latest shipment is the new and improved citrus and has a weird after taste that my husband can't stand. So we're moving away from citrus to one of the mint flavors. I bought a small bottle of this because I fell for the ads on TV. The taste reminds me of the smell Raid Bug Spray. I actually thought for a minute that my product was tampered with. The taste lingered like a cheap cigar, and it couldn't go away quick enough. I will never use this stuff again! I tried this because I have a very sensitive tongue and can't handle regular Listerine. I fail to see where the difference is between this and their regular products. The menthol taste was horrible and stuck with me for a long time afterwards. I sensed absolutely no citrus taste whatsoever, and it's just as strong as their original product and variations thereof. It was horrible stuff and I had to spit it out after a few seconds. Luckily, my husband can handle Listerine, so he'll be using it and I'll be finding something milder. It's not that citrusy; mostly you taste a mediciny taste. I do like that my sink basin is no longer stained blue. In fact, this is the only mouthwash I will buy now. Also, this is one of the few brands of mouthwash that my dentist reccommends because it doesn't strip your mouth. Although there is a hint of citrus flavor, it still left that mediciny taste in my mouth which I did not like. I'm very disappointed. This has a pleasant orange taste, but it still kind of stings so you know it is working. If the gold, blue and green versions of Listerine are too strong for you, try this Natural Citrus version.
