I've found that the antiseptic type Listerine is excellent for stopping a sore throat if you gargle with it 2-3 times a day as soon as the sore throat starts to develop. This may be due to the ingredient, eucalyptol, which I don't think is found in any other brands of antiseptic mouthwashes. It is also very good for minor tongue and mouth infections that you might get from accidently biting yourself while eating. For everyday use I use one of the milder Listerine products with fluoride.

I actually like this product. Usually I use the Listerine Advanced (Tarter Control) formula morning and night---but since the "travel size" of Listerine Advanced is too small a bottle for everyday use (I carry a bottle in my backpack to use at school) I use this instead. I like the fact that it is "no frills" as some of the other flavors like "Cool Mint" can be a little overpowering. This does the job and the aftertaste is really not that bad. Plus it is very effective as a good basic antisceptic mouthwash. I'll rinse with this over Scope any day!

Drugstore.com should really carry the larger size of this classic mouthwash. This size is too small for everyday use.

My dentist recommended it, and my dermatologist also recommended it for dandruff. Great product!

This is THE mouthwash. It leaves my mouth feeling cleaner than any other mouthwash on the market. My granddad uses it, my dad uses it, and I use it. Three generations can't be wrong. :)
