I took my daughter to the salon to get a bright red "dip dye" on her waist-length, dark brown hair (she's Asian). Four hours later, after bleaching and applying color twice, she walked out with just an okay job--the red was NOT the bright, bright (almost clown) red she wanted; it was more burgundy. Worse, it faded to a copper within 3 washes! What a waste of $90!

I found this product on Drugstore.com and figured it wouldn't hurt to try to touch up her color, as we're just experimenting on the ends of her superlong hair before getting a long bob haircut for summer. I'm not a stylist, but this product looked easy to use--and it was! I'm so glad I didn't have to strip out the old color, bleach her hair, or anything other than apply, wait 30 minutes, and shampoo.

The results are fantastic! It's the bright clown red she wanted, and it didn't seem to damage her hair. It's only been a week, but the color hasn't faded yet, although there is still traces of red left on towels after she showers.

Of course, keep in mind that I dyed over a pre-existing copper-color, so other results may vary. I will say that I dyed a little bit more than the stylist did, and the red on her previously un-dyed hair still is bright and vibrant.

I have used this product for years.....was so relieved to find it on line for easy shopping. When the red starts to slowly fade out the pink color is great too. Get compliments on my pink streak just as much as the red. Since I only use a small portion at a time I have to guess the ratio of cream bleach to red colorant....I'm no math expert but "close enough" seems to work. Tried other "reds" and this is definitely The Best One!!!!

I use the product all over my hair
It is bright and doesn't dry out my hair
The color does fade too fast. I wish it was more permanent.

My son uses this bright shade of red on his crazy mohawk and it turns out so great.He has jet-black hair, so we werent sure it would'take'. But the color turned out exactly as it is shown on the box. We tried several other products before buying L'oreal Colour rays,with nowhere near the same results.Other products sold(including having it colored by a professional in a salon) require pre-bleaching the hair-a process whcih can take up to two hours! This product is, quick and easy to use and you get better results than if it were done in a salon. The only problem is that I can't find it in stores in our area, anymore and luckily I found it on this site!

This product is awesome! I used it for my black-brown hair and I was surprised at how vivid the color was! To get the same effect in the salon I had to sit thru an hour+ bleaching process and then thru the color application. The results after 3 hours were not as long-lasting as Loreal color Rays (total about 30 minutes time)The only problem is that i'm having a hard time finding this product in stores. The places I usually pick it up[...]state the product is being discontinued.

I love this product because it is the only brand of this shade of red that I have found that does not require pre-bleaching or pre-lightening to get the color on the box.

Love this product! I have dark brown hair with lots of gray strands. The color was awesome when finished. A nice red. After 4 weeks with daily shampooing using a dandruff shampoo, it has faded to a light pink but color is still very noticeable. Easiest product I've used.
