This is easily my favorite hairspray, and I've tried many. This hairspray sprays in a very fine mist, so it doesnt' get your hair too wet or go on too heavy. It has great hold, but isn't stiff and can be brushed through and restyled. It never flakes, no matter how much is applied. The package is ugly, but the product is great.

I really love this hairspray. It has great hold yet it's incredibly lightweight. It smells okay but it's a pretty strong smell that lingers so if you're sensitive to perfume smells it might be a little much. It doesn't bother me and as for effectiveness it's amazing.

Love this product. Was so happy when it fianlly hit US. Even though it is more expenseive than other drugstore brands it is so worth it. Please buy this...you'll be glad..so it will continue to be available.

Curled my hair with rollers and pommade, then sprayed with Elnett after the curls had cooled a bit. The curls lasted a week! All I did after sleeping was run my fingers thru it. I also added a little dry shampoo each day after about the 4th day. I have very thick hair, so I am trying to go for the world record lasting style. Today (day 6), I plan to brush thru it and add more spray...I have highlights and am in the sun 24/7, so I feel good about the UV protectant.

This product is so great. I learned about it before it came to the US by my Scottish hair stylist. It gives me great hold without my hair being stiff or sticky. It moves, even when the wind blows, but goes right back into place. My hair looks beautiful and it's touchable.

I use this product daily and the one thing I like is that the smell is not overpowering and doesn't interferr with my cologne. The only bad thing about this spray is the price. When I first saw the price on the shelf I looked at the others and the most expensive was 6.98 and then I looked at this at [$] and I thought they had to have made a mistake then I looked at the shelf label again and seen that it was really true, [$]. I like the product but at this price I think this will be my last one because of the economy that extra 6.00 spent on hair spriay I could be getting a pound of ground beef.

This formulation with sunscreen is truly bad - the regular Extra Hold Elnett is excellent (doing exactly what it says on the can) - this one has no holding power, no staying power, and makes my hair limper than when I started out.

I'd say yes to recommend it because of performance, but for odor I would give caution.

Elnett originated in the UK - the same as me! - and was sold very cheaply back when I was a teenager before 'designer' hairsprays...When it finally showed up in US stores 16 years after I arrived in the States, I was TOTALLY thrilled!! This hairspray is the only one that has ever worked for me; the only hairspray I have used to the absolute last drop and the only one I would 150% recommend to each & every woman I know! I keep a full-size bottle at home and a travel-size in my purse at ALL times. Seriously, you will not be disappointed with this product; you can spray it and still run your fingers through your hair and it will hold (as I do frequently) and not feel crackly and yukky - & the smell is not at all overpowering. Elnett has been a best seller in the UK since the 1960s (my own mum & Nanna used it) so you know it has to be a keeper - It's the only hairspray I have consistently used and would not be without and I have spent a small fortune looking for anything remotely similar in the US until it miraculously popped up in my local drugstore one day a couple of years ago!! I could not have been happier then & I would never buy anything else!
