This product contains NO drying detergents or heavy silcones...great for all people with "textured" hair or anyone concerned with preserving your precious color or highlights that we Beauty Gals spend so much money on....The idea is that No SLS (harsh detergents) won't strip your hair and rough up your cuticle and strip your color. Basically, if you are a girl like me with longer hair that is thick and you color it...it is a God Send that will literally change your life. I have been using these types of products to wash my hair for almost two years now, (My sister in law is a hairdresser in GA and swears by them) and I will NEVER go back to regular shampoo. The exception is every month or so I use a clarifying shampoo to help remove styling gunk, etc, but a diligent hair person like me would do that anyway. This product is sooooo much cheaper than Wen or Deva Care.....with quality ingredients all from a DRUGSTORE! ( I am DEF a hair product SNOB and laugh at people that bought drugstore shampoos...but hey, for this ONE product, I wlll make an exception!) It smells yummy.. to me anyway..I have read mixed reviews on the smell from lots of reviews...it is kinda like a vanilla/Caramel/Brown sugar smell. A bit more perfumey than I am used to, but it still smells nice. My hubby commented that it smelled yummy, and he is picky on smells. OK so enough rambling.......here's how to use it VS Most Liked Negative Review Can't stand it. I have very course/thick wavy red hair. Irish/Italian. It's very dry, but takes to heat styling very well. In general, I wash my hair 2-3 times per week, except in the summer. This product DID make my hair much softer, but within 12 hours my hair felt waxy/greasy and smelled dirty. Smell of product does not wane, and is very strong. It felt like I'd had a keratin treatment on my hair. Waxy and gross, where you can't wait to wash it, but make yourself wait so that the keratin will work. HOWEVER, this is just a cleanser! I can't imagine a person with "normal" hair liking this. If it made my hair greasy and flat, I can't imagine what it would do to thinner hair. I threw away the bottle after 5 uses. Bottom line, it made my hair softer but quickly waxy/greasy and smelled very strong. Overpowering. Would have to wash my hair daily with this, which is not healthy for my dry/course hair. Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: By far the best "non-sudsing shampoo" I've ever used. Quicker than other brands, it takes only 2 minutes in the shower. Wet hair, massage well into scalp and along hair strands, rinse. It removed all the styling product residue in my hair, made my scalp feel moisturized, and didn't leave a film on my face, back or chest. Plus my hair wasn't frizzy when it dried.

Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: So I am a big fan behind the concept of cleansing conditioners. I have used one of the Wen products (for oily hair...something with cucumber, I think), HairOne, and Devacurl No-poo. This L'Oreal product works just as well as any of the others for a fraction of the cost. It is probably true that the ingredients aren't as high quality as those in Wen, but I'm on a budget. I can get a professional 20oz size of Devacurl No-poo for $20, so in that regard L'Oreal is not cheaper for me to buy in the same amount, but I actually prefer how my hair looks from using the L'Oreal more than the Devacurl. I feel the Deva dries my hair out more.

Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: I ordered this product thinking it would work like Wen, just less expensive; however, it did not. I will go back to using Wen.

Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: I feel this product helps me keep my color longer with less fading. Once you get used to low lather and using finger tips to clean scalp, it cleans great. Nice smell and my thin hair has body and volume.

Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: I have been using a very expensive, no lather shampoo that I purchased from a shopping channel. I did not use it all the time because it was SO expensive. While I was browsing I came across reviews of this product. Amazingly people were saying it was the same, so I immediately rushed out to purchase it(could not wait for it to be shipped).

Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: I have highlighted wavy hair that tends to fizz, so I have to blow dry and flat iron it everyday or it just looks bad. On top of that my roots are oily so I wasn't sure if this product would cleanse it throughly but smooth my fried ends. I have to say I am very pleasently surprized how well it works.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: I need something that helps my dried out, overprocessed, overly ironed hair and wanted this to be it - it's not. It's way too heavy to use on your hair daily - I've used it a few times in btwn using the shampoo/conditioner from this line (they're 'ok'). I wanted to love it - I don't.

Cons Best Uses Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: This smells like Dior's Poison parfum. The scent tones way down as your hair dries. I usually co-wash with VO5's Vanilla Mint Conditioner. I tried this to see if I could possibly use it when traveling to help cut down on the number of products I take along with me. With the VO5 I find it necessary to use a shampoo every third day. With this product I can stretch the time between shampoos further. Overall I am very pleased with this conditioning cleanser and will be buying it again.

Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: I was very excited to try this after I saw it in the drugstore. I used it the first time this morning and it was pretty much what I thought it would be. It doesnt have any lather to it at all, and it was weird to be "washing" my hair with something that didnt suds up. But what I did was put in in my wet hair and did like I was washing it, scrubbing it into my sculp. Then I put my hair up and did they rest of my shower stuff. And before rinsing I put a little more water in my hair and acted like I was washing it again. That seemed to make it a little more lather-ish. Then just rinsed it out and felt as if I had washed and condishioned my hair! Combed nicely too. I felt like my hair was clean and soft, and the smell was AMAZING! I could eat the stuff it smells so good and it lasts too. I could smell it all day. All and all I think I will keep using it on a every other day basis to keep my hair soft and healthy.

Comments about L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioning Cleanser, 8.5 oz: Maybe I am just unclear on how this whole no-poo thing works, but I expected WAY more from this cleansing conditioner. I have dry, thick, wavy/curly hair that soaks up moisture like a sponge and was looking for something less drying to use as a shampoo. Unfortunately, this felt awful while using it and even worse after rinsing, like it was leaving an awful greasy film and compounding on what was already in my hair. It might work for someone with even curlier, coarser hair... but even then I wouldn't take a chance.
