I buy really expensive cosmetics for my face makeup, lotions, etc, but when it comes to the eye area-I seem to have reactions to so many products. I am very sensitive in this area, and this is the only product I have not had a reaction to. I have, as I said, used it for years, and even my opthamologist commented how line-free my eyes are. I live in Phoenix, Az where it is so dry, this is very soothing. My makeup doesn't smear, and I do not have watery eyes from it. Maybe if I were in a more humid climate it wouldn't work as well, but I have used when I travel-and love it. VS Most Liked Negative Review OK but.... This product irritates my eyes and although lighter than the original its not worth the money at twice the cost. I also did not notice any lightening of my dark circles. Comments about L'Oreal Eye Defense Gel Cream: This is one of the very few products for eyes that doesn't irritate my very sensitive skin. Although it doesn't do miracles, it moisturizes and soothes the skin around my eyes without a trace of irritation. I've used it for years and really like it. It's lightweight, moisturizing and really reduces the puffiness under my eyes. It's a great value too. I've tried $100 eye creams and this is the best I've tried so far! Comments about L'Oreal Eye Defense Gel Cream: It does nothing for dark circles... I noticed absolutely no difference in dark circles or fatigue under the eye area. The one good thing about this product is, it does not cause irritation. I have very sensitive eyes, and I can honestly say this product caused no irritation for me.
