I'm going to join the throngs of people defending this product!! I've used it for years. And I find it very efficient at removing eye makeup!! I don't use waterproof mascara because I think it's WAY too harsh on my lashes. I guess if I did then I might try to find something more oily. This product has a lot of water and NO oil, so I think it would make sense, if you wear waterproof mascara then you would be unhappy with a remover make of a lot of water. Maybe next time if you need to remove your waterproof mascara you should, I don't know, read the ingredients. And if WATER is in the first few ingredients you would know BEFORE you buy it that the first thing to do is blame yourself. Not a really great product. I'll be buying it as long as they make it. Which I hope is a very long time!

It doesn't work on my waterproof masacra and sting my eyes. It is weird because I used to buy this product made in my home country and it worked great.

I don't know why this eyemake up remover reviews so badly. I have been using for it for years and love it. It takes off the make up (maybe I don't wear a lot) and it doesn't irritate my eyes. It is very neutral. I have tried other products thinking there are better ones out there, and I don't like them compared Loreal's.

I love this product. i dont use waterproof mascara. I dont prefer you use this product with water proof make-up. THE MAIN INGREDIENT IS WATER!! of course it wouldnt work well with it. All the negative reviews are not so smart.

I was shocked to see all the negative reviews about this product. Bare Minerals is the only makeup I use, but L'Oreal Eye Makeup Remover is the only eye makeup remover I use. And yes, I do the whole eyeliner, eyeshadow, and waterproof mascara. It's incredibly gentle and I've never had a problem with it. I do have to use a few cotton balls to completely remove the eye makeup, but I think that's only because I've got so much of so many different items on my eyes. Surprised by the people that don't like it. Stuff around my eyes scares me which is why I've been using this for almost ten years! I'm terrified they'll take it away someday!

This eye make-up remover is very clean and leaves no oily residue. Very gentle on the eyes and effective. It's the only one I ever use.

I have to use at least 3 cotton balls & still I wake up in the morning with mascara flakes under eyes. I only use 2 coats of mascara for crying out loud! Definitely does not "refresh" and DEFINITELY does not "gently remove" mascara. I would not spend 99 cents for it much less [$] which I paid for it.

This product not only does not work without using about 10 cotton balls soaked with it, it also stings and fogs up my eyes. Not worth the trouble. I work overseas andn while I was in Europe, I started using a L'Oreal eye makeup remover that is half oily liquid, half not reminding me of the much more expensive Lancome Bi-Facil eye makeup remover at a quarter of the cost and works AMAZINGLY. It's unfortunate that they don't sell it in the States, at least not where I am so I stock up whenever I am overseas. There is a product of L'Oreal's that looks similar on drugstore.com and I am ordering it and hoping for the best. It is called L'Oreal Dermo-Expertise Clean Artiste Waterproof & Long Wearing Eye Makeup Remover. It will probably be a little greasy but that is better than pulling and rubbing your eyes to get the make up off, as that causes wrinkles. Hopefully, it will be as good as the product I buy overseas.

Lots of harsh comments about a product I like and have used for years! I do not wear waterproof mascara, and I normally wash my face with Philosophy Purity Made Simple, which takes off all the makeup I wear, including my eye makeup. The way I use the Loreal product is with a Q-tip to clean up any mistakes I make with my liquid eyeliner or mascara, and it is perfect for that.
