I used this product to touch up my highlights between salon visits and it works great! I applied it all over to small pieces of hair to achieve salon-like results. I did find that it dried my hair more than professional products.

I had never done my own hair. I remember growing up my mom doing hers and getting shades of orange or purple. I always went to a high-end salon and paid 150-200 dollars to get highlights.

I saw Feria the other day and badly needed to have my hair done, as I didn't have the money to go to the salon, I picked it up. I used it right away and I was shocked at the results. Professional, shiny, beautiful, better than the salon! My hair is so silky and shiny. And I thought I was just going to make my hair look "good enough" until I got to the salon. Well, I only have to say "Good-bye Salon, hello L'Oreal!"

I've been using this product for about seven years and have perfected its use. First, let me say that my natural hair color was very dark brown. It is now at least 80% gray. I used to color it dark, then started adding highlights to help the gray blend in between colorings. But, as that became more difficult to keep up with, the highlights became thicker and thicker until I finally became platinum blond. Now, I use this product to cover the few dark patches that remain. Actually, I apply it pretty much as if I'm highlighting (in other words, I don't just cover all my hair with it)--I squeeze it directly from the bottle onto my hair in vertical "stripes" all around my head. (I don't even bother wih the included application tool.) I leave it on 45 minutes, then rub it all over my hair and leave that about 5 more minutes before washing it out. The color is kinda"bright" for the first day, but quickly tones down. I get lots of compliments on the color. But, I also think this method works because I have very short hair. I'm not sure how well long hair would hold up to this type of coloring. (I color my hair every 2-1/2 to 3 weeks.) The most important tip I can offer is this--if you're going to do this, do not rinse it out too soon. You get much better results by leaving it on the full amount of time. In fact, as with any blond color, you may get orange results if you don't leave the color in long enough.
