I have been coloring my hair for nearly 20 years now and over time have gotten almost all gray. I've tried lots of different products over the years, startiing with temporary since I hate that root showing look but as I got more gray I needed to go permanent. I color every 4 weeks and have been using this for over a year. I have gotten compliments about how natural the color looks (my favorite was from someone I work with who was surprised I color my hair). It does turn too brassy by week 4 and I am trying color perserving products with limited success. I have never been this loyal to a brand and color this long.

I have never had a problem with box color kits. However, this Loreal Paris Feria T53 turned my roots orange. The rest of my hair (that I have previously colored) turned out great, a beautiful brown color very close to my natural color. I am very disappointed. Orange roots and brown everywhere else.

To be fair in my rating, I added 1/2 bottle of the B61 Downtown Brown developer (brown bottle) to the T53 (I dumped only about 1/3 of that developer because the bottle for Moonlit Tortoise is a little bit bigger). I wanted to use the lighter color to give my hair color a little "lift" without making it obviously lighter. It worked really well on my hair. I have coarse, fairly wavy/curly, dry, shoulder-length medium dark brown hair, with about 25% gray. It covered all my grays and there was no brassiness. I will be doing this again as needed. It is definitely my new formula. When I went to get a trim at a new stylist, she asked me if this is my natural color, which tells me that it didn't do a lot of damage to may hair, and that it actually looks natural. I hope none of these colors is discontinued. I have searched for YEARS for this.

I was happy to find "cool" colors - designed to reduce the bronze, brass, and redness that tends to develop in my hair. These Feria "cool" and "tortoise shell" colors are advertized for that purpose and - TAH DAH - they really do work! I actually use two - and sometimes three - different shades in this line and get a very natural multi-shade result. On a rare, but recent, trip to the salon, the woman cutting my hair said, "I'm not supposed to tell customers this because, of course, we want to do the coloring ourselves, but you have done a great job on your hair!"

I have naturally dark brown hair and I wanted to lighten it a shade or two, it didn't lighten enough. The color is nice, but it is so close to my natural color, it hardly looks like I dyed it.
The worst part was it didn't cover my grays. The color is "prismatic", I just wish it would have been the same color as the model on the box. Hair is smooth and soft though!

A beautiful color. My hairdresser thinks Feria has too much ammonia in it, but they may have reformulated it since the last time she checked. It feels very gentle on the hair, leaving it smooth and shiny and even feeling thicker (although that doesn't last). The highlights and the three-dimensional shimmer are gorgeous. I'm sticking with this color now, and here's hoping they don't discontinue it!

First off, I love Feria haircolor in general and have used this brand exclusively for years. This new color is incredible and is exactly what I was looking for. I've used most of the brown shades, but this new shade is the ultimate brown! Even my hairdresser loves this color. It's natural without being boring. I hope this new shade is here to stay!
