This color is amazing. I have tried every red in the box and nothing was as perfect or close to a natural red as this. All other shades were either too dark or too light or way too intense. When you first use this color it may be too intense for you depending on what color you are covering and what your completion is. This shade works best on first timers covering a lighter shade of red,but it will lighten darker shades of red really nicely too. As all reds do,this shade fades.When it does you have the most natural,shinny,beautiful copper color ever. So if it is too intense dont worry. I myself love all of the shades this color develops from the initial color all the way through the fade process till its time to do roots. I always redo my whole head to keep the color vibrant and to match the roots. I do get compliments from random people on an almost daily basis about my hair color. When I tell people it isnt my real hair color they are shocked,even more so when I tell them it came from a box.Lol. I never have received soo many compliments with a color. I have searched all over for the perfect red,this is it. The only con is where do you find it? None of the drugstores carry this color! I am soo thankful that I found it on here and I pray they will never stop carrying it. If they do,my at home hair care would end and I would pay a pro to match this color. This is a good color, but boy does it grab on! Most reds don't last more than a couple weeks on me (permanent or not), but this one is still going strong. Be prepared for an intense result when you first use it - very very red. It does calm down a little in a couple days, but I was a bit shocked at the initial result. Also it took stronger on the ends of my hair than on my roots so you may consider that when applying (thus the patchy results). Over all, I'd recommend it, though with some warning for above mentioned issues.
I have used this color for eight years plus, and always get complements about the color. Although this color is not for everyone, because it is bright, if you have the right skin color it looks great. If you take care of the color it will last 6 weeks, but it is not recommend to go swimming in chlorine pools...
This is my main color to use, and I put the Moroccan Oil on the ends before I put in the color. On off months and for touch-ups I use the Revelon ColorSilk.
I love love love this color! I am naturally lighter blonde in some areas and more of a super light brown in others but i love the brightness of red. I spent a small fortune at expensive salons in nyc trying to get the copper color and kept leaving with an auburn that i was never thrilled with (and once you go red,you HAVE to keep it up or it looks ridiculous). So- for a while i went to using fekkais at home copper color which was pretty good but still wasnt quite as coppery as i wanted and while it looked good for a week didnt wear well. But this stuff is amazing- the day after you color is a tiny bit scary as it is BRIGHT but then after it settles it is amazing. I get tons of compliments. I do find it too be a little harsh so i condition like a maniac after and between colorings. Also- bc it is red it will make a mess in your bathroom if you arent careful. Overall its the best thing ever and i will cry if they discontinue it as it is saving me so much money and time.
the best color i actually got complimented on the color. my friends know i color my hair and i was told this the best color ever. didnt have to redo into 5 weeks later which is unusal when i color my hair . this is the only hair color i will ever use from now on please dont stop making it
Have you been looking for that perfect, true, copper red? Well, this dye is for you!
My hair is a medium/dark brown, so mine is not as bright as the results pictured on the box, but it is gorgeous just the same. It does fade (as ALL reds do) within a few weeks, but it fades to a lighter, more natural color. The dye is a bit drying, but I am wondering if it is becuase it has a bit more "lift" than mose red dyes? It seems to lighten my hair quite a bit. I really won't know what to do if they discontinue this color, it is hard to find in my area...
First let me say that this is my all time favorite color for my hair. It's striking without being fire engine fake, catches the sun beautifully, goes on easy and TWO boxes does my relatively thick waist length hair, where with other brands I have to use three boxes. I first started using this color in 2001 and then they stopped selling it everywhere from North Carolina to Ohio!
HOWEVER! They have changed the formula over the years. I have NEVER had a color dry out my hair as much as this one does now. Seriously, Nice and Easy is less drying!! The conditioner included is a JOKE as far as hair color conditioners go, but for me, the color is worth the hassle of having to supplement the conditioner. Just make sure you get a VERY hydrating hair mask and leave it on for the max time. Don't go over the time if you can help it, because you CAN put too much protein in the hair by doing that and that's not good either. Extra Strength Frizz Ease (or the strongest you can use without weighing your hair down) is useful as well. Usually after my 6 week touch up I'll add olive oil to my hair the next day. It was a trick taught to me by an Indian woman I used to know.
Take organic (preferably) olive oil and saturate the hair, wait a couple hours for it all to soak in and if any pieces aren't practically dripping in oil, saturate again. Keep doing this until your hair can hold NO MORE OIL. Leave in for half the day or up to 24 hrs if you'er comfortable with that. (I cover with a bandana for that time) and then wash out thoroughly. VOILA! Sounds crazy, but trust me.
On a positive note, the color has great staying power for a red.
This product is pretty amazing! It gives me highlights as it colors. I have naturally curly and dark brown hair that is thick but baby fine. The end resultant red/copper shade is so natural that people actually think it's "naturally mine." : ) Love this!!! Oh yeah, it leaves a high shine too. A plus in my book.
