This red is amazing if not better than any red I have payed hundreds of dollars for. It lasts pretty long if you take care of your hair appropriately. Red hair should be washed with cooler water and try to avoid sun and chlorine . If you want a vibrant and amazing true red then this is what you need. VS Most Liked Negative Review Good color, wish it lasted. Love this color! My BF likes red hair and I've searched all over the perfect shade and this is it. The only problem is that to keep it the perfect shade I'd have to dye my hair every two weeks! After about 2 weeks it starts to fade from red to orange. And I use a color safe shampoo and conditioner too. REVIEWS Reviewed by 19 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Pros

Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about L'Oreal Feria Power Reds, High-Intensity, Shimmering Colour, Rich Auburn R68, 1 ea: This color is divine! Strangers of all ages literally stop me to compliment my hair color everywhere I go! (This isn't a natural color, so go for a brown auburn if you don't want a wow-factor red.) Feria has a multi-dimensional color that lasts a long time for red, and does not tend to build up to dark even if you color over color. I recommend that you go to the beauty supply store for a smock and a wide dye applicator brush. You can buy a bowl there too or just use a pyrex or glass bowl. When your roots start to grow out, mix up 1/3 - 1/2 of the ingredients in the bowl, leaving the rest in the original bottles unmixed (once mixed together, you must use it then but it will store opened in the original bottles unmixed). Mix what you've poured into the bowl using the brush, then use the brush to apply dye just to the roots. You can get 2-3 root touch ups this way before it's time for a full recolor.

Comments about L'Oreal Feria Power Reds, High-Intensity, Shimmering Colour, Rich Auburn R68, 1 ea: This product is shown with the photo for R56, but is actually R68 (which is Ruby Rush). Twice now I've made this mistake and bought multiple boxes of R68 when what I wanted was R56. The description and photo on this product needs to be corrected to prevent this mistake. I won't be ordering from you again until/if you correct the misleading label.

Comments about L'Oreal Feria Power Reds, High-Intensity, Shimmering Colour, Rich Auburn R68, 1 ea: Over the years, I have used many different brands & colors of hair dye. Feria has consistantly produced great color results. Red dyes are notorious for lasting a shorter time period than other shades, but this brand & color do not fade quickly. When the light hits your hair, it produces a multi-dimensional effect. I love this particular shade too. For the level of permanence, it doesn't damage hair like other brands. I would highly recommend it.

Comments about L'Oreal Feria Power Reds, High-Intensity, Shimmering Colour, Rich Auburn R68, 1 ea: I accidently ordered this product no realizing it was a "power" red. I will not add the booster again as it was very messy and stained everything it touched. When I washed it out as directed my hair was way too garish a color.

Comments about L'Oreal Feria Power Reds, High-Intensity, Shimmering Colour, Rich Auburn R68, 1 ea: I have been using this product for abut 2 years now. In the beginning I noticed it was difficult to keep the red color from fading, but gradually it has gotten to the point where it stays just about the same from the time I first apply it, until the time I do touch ups (2 to 3 weeks). I have very long hair (waist length) and this has made my hair incredibly shiny and luxuriously soft. You do need to use care when handling the 'power booster', it is basically just like food dye and will stain! But I usually use an old Tshirt, gloves and make sure that the floor underneath me is covered with an old towel. I have even used this on my eyebrows without having any difficulty.

Best Uses Comments about L'Oreal Feria Power Reds, High-Intensity, Shimmering Colour, Rich Auburn R68, 1 ea: This hair dye is the most awesome red I've ever used however when you mix it, it's like red dye and will stain horribly and if you sweat the red dye will run down your face even after washing it twice as stated. Not worth the mess!

Comments about L'Oreal Feria Power Reds, High-Intensity, Shimmering Colour, Rich Auburn R68, 1 ea: Today was my first time using this shade, which I bought by mistake (I actually meant to buy 66 Ruby Fusion, my normal shade). I should have skipped the booster. My little girl came into the bathroom just as I was adding it to the mixture and screamed - it looks EXACTLY like blood - so naturally I jumped and spattered this thin fluid EVERYwhere. I grabbed Clorox wipes immediately but it still stained the bathroom counter; I scrubbed and bleached it but the counter still looks pink. Also, the mixture was much runnier than my normal Feria so I had a hard time keeping it on. My roots are beginning to gray, and this shade made them BRIGHT red. But the rest of my hair doesn't look much different than it did before; it's still auburn from previous dyeings. Bottom line: too much muss and fuss. I'll stick with 66!

Comments about L'Oreal Feria Power Reds, High-Intensity, Shimmering Colour, Rich Auburn R68, 1 ea: This is a product that NEVER fully washes out. By the same token, it rarely fades. The extra "color boost" could be compared to a rocket driving on a highway. I have tried using half the booster, using only half a bottle at a time (I have long hair) and rinsing and shampooing until my scalp is tender. Nothing removes all the residual color in one shampoo. I am still having pinkish suds after a month and I shampoo frequently. I am considering going to a beauty supply store, buying only the color and using 30 vol. peroxide with no color booster hoping this will tone the color down a slight bit and save what's left of my pillow cases. I have resorted to sleeping on stained pillow cases but too little too late; the color has even run through to my very expensive pillow ticking.
