I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this eyeshadow because I know sometimes the colors online aren't exactly what you get in real life, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received this! It doesn't match the swatches displayed on the site, but the colors are truer to the photo of the eyeshadow compact. The gold is a very pretty coppery-gold color, and the brown is sort of a pewter-brown with gold flecks in it. The gold is very highly pigmented, so I can really only imagine myself wearing this when I go out at night. The brown is perfect for the crease though... I wear it with a very pale, shimmery gold all over my lid and then use a brush to blend the brown into the crease. Overall, this is a great shadow and I would recommend it!

Warning: The dark shade is more Olive than Brown.
These colors are very intense, which is a good thing when you want intensity. For everyday (and office), I use a very light touch and blend a lot to help lessen the intensity and darkness of the darker shade. I like the colors, and I like the Olive-color of the dark shade, but it just isn't what I was expecting from the product photos.

This shadow duo is for evening only - it's too much for day time. The gold is very pretty, but it's hard to blend. The other color looked black when I swatched it on my hand. It turned a dark olive on my skin, but it was too hard to blend too. I used the gold wet as an eyeliner and it looked very pretty.

I will not buy this duo again...

I got two of the Metallics. Sculpted and Gilded. Gilded isn't as smooth as Sculpted. It is a little gritty in the dark gold/brownish color, and the gold is really frosty. I use a light hand with the dark color, blend, and it really pops my green in my hazel eyes. Other than the gold I won't use, this is o.k. for going out.
