This is an effective pore-minimizing/fine line diminishing base for use under mineral powder. I tried it under foundation with a less impressive result. Don't be worried about the size of the container because you only need a tiny bit of product. Using too much seems to make it clump.

I am pretty impressed with this primer. It may not be the best on the planet but it does smooth my skin out before makeup application. The slight hint of pink brightens my fair skin. It also seems to reduce the appearance of my pores.

It is a little hard to "dig" out of the small jar. And I'm not really sure if I am using too much or too little.

Overall I would probably buy it again but may try some other primers for comparision.

I bought this product after reading so many great reviews about the way that it smoothes out your complexion. Maybe my expectations were to high, but the first thing that dissappointed me was the very small container that it came in. Then, when you open the lid to apply it, you have to dip your finger into it, getting primer under your fingernails that is usually wasted. So, the packaging was not ideal for the small jar that it came in. I have been using it under my makeup daily and it does, in fact, make my skin smooth, but I have tried another primer that is much better as far as the actual texture it leaves on your skin. The magic perfecting base leaves a "less than magic" feeling with it's extremely thick texture, similar to LARD, and leaves a less than appealing powdery film upon the skin. It is also difficult to distribute the thickness of the primer across your face without pulling too hard on delicate skin areas of the face, which is something that you do not need to avoid fine lines as you age from daily use. It DOES leave my skin feeling smoother than it was before, but has caused my pores to become clogged and led to breakouts in places outside of my t-zone area (such as the cheeks and chin areas.) And I don't even have oily skin. I would say that this product does not live up to the hype, the small portion that you pay for is really not worth your hard earned money when there are much better primers out there.

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to Laura Mercier's foundation primer because it got such good reviews. I'm sorry to say that I notice zero difference. I use MAC foundation with a medium coverage and like using a primer to both make it even and stay on all day. This product really didn't. Disappointing.

MY SKIN IS MEDIUM/OLIVE, AND AT 40, IS STARTING TO SHOW SIGNS OF AGING ON TOP OF SERIOUS ACNE SCARRING ON MY CHECKS, AND CONSTANT REDNESS AROUND MY NOSE DUE TO ALLERGIES. THIS PRODUCT IS A CRUCIAL STEP FOR ME IN IMPROVING MY COMPLEXION, AND I CONSTANTLY GET COMPLIMENTS ON MY SKIN SINCE I'VE BEEN USING IT.

I WEAR IT EVERYDAY OVER MY MOSTURIZER AND UNDER MY FOUNDATION/POWDER. IT TOTALLY MATTIFIES MY SKIN, SMOOTHS IT, AND HELPS TO FILL IN THE SCARRING. THE TRICK IS TO PUT A SMALL AMOUNT ON YOUR FINGER, LIGHTLY PAT IT ON, AND THEN BLEND IT IN A SMOOTH CIRCULAR MOTION.

DRAWBACKS: LEAVES FACE GREASY IF YOU PUT IT ON TO HEAVILY, SO USE SPARINGLY. ALSO, TENDS TO FADE OUT ON SUPER HOT SWEATY DAYS- BUT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED BY FINISHING WITH E.L.F. SPRAY FIXER.
