Now being a bit older and a bit more health conscious I have stopped using them altogether. I have tried ‘all’ the self tanners (sprays-‘all’ of them) and this product is by far the best I’ve found. It leaves my skin really soft and sexy, I ‘love’ it! The only drawback it that it does have a bit of a strong smell (though not nearly as bad as some!), it remains a tad sticky and takes nearly an hour to fully dry as others have mentioned. I usually allow time in the evening when I can be doing other things around the house while not wearing anything, working out etc. I use a scrub to exfoliate my skin in the shower, then shave, rinse and apply a thin even coat making sure to cover everything evenly. A few hours later when it is dry, I then shower and apply a moisturizer. I’m not sure what is in it, but at this point after showering and applying a moisturizer it leaves my skin incredibly smooth and silky, and all really sexy with a flawless deep golden (not ‘orange’) tan, and the next day it looks and feels even better! If you have a chance to get a bit of sun along with it, it will really give you a very sexy looking tan. I use it ‘everywhere’ and my husband loves it! I also always get compliments on it with people asking me if I’ve been to the beach. I use it about twice a week to maintain a great tan. The only problem I’ve had is finding the ‘gelee’. Most of the stores carry the ‘tinted’ self-tanner Loreal offers, but I don’t think it gives nearly as good a result, but may be fine for touch-ups. If you take a bit of care in applying it and give yourself the time to let it dry I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. You have to be so careful. My legs are currently streaked and orange colored (after using it about 4 times-I didn't want to judge prematurely). My arms look pretty good after using it- but they were tan to begin with. This also fades unevenly, so some parts of my legs, stomach, and shoulders are still tan while others are not. It makes me look like I have a skin condition. Another gripe is that it takes awhile to dry. I want a natural looking tan so I might try a spray formula-at least it's safer for my skin than laying out. Comments about L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Gelee, Medium Natural, 5 fl oz: I use this about 10 minutes after I get out of the shower every other day. It goes on quick and slippy-smooth and even if I am a little distracted or careless, I don't get dark splotches like I have with other self-tanning lotions or gelees. I would dare to call it odor-free, or at least hardly noticeable. I prefer this to other products that are up to twice as pricy. Three different people have told me "Nice tan!" since I started using this. My new favorite. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Gelee, Medium Natural, 5 fl oz: ok so as some people have said, it is easier to apply this self tanner when it is mixed in with a lotion. BUT the lotion has to contain absolutely NO mineral oil. so i went on the look out for one that wasn't too expensive but wasn't super cheap and probable to fail. then i came across Jergens Naturals Daily Moisturizer in Hydrate! why i didn't think of searching in more natural/organic products, i don't know. just mix equal parts of lotion and gel in a bowl and then rub it on! its that simple! let it dry and you'll be perfectly moisturized and tan. the best part is the lotion is sold right here on drugstore.com! it's a must have add-on to this product!!! Comments about L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Gelee, Medium Natural, 5 fl oz: Okay, so I've been using this product now for almost two months, I've given myself time to test it out and really see how it works and such. Let me tell you, I have a crazy self tanner history (as many of us do) and a few years ago I tried L'oreal's Gradual Tanner and it turned me TANGERINE ORANGE. I swore I would stay away from L'oreal products. From then on, I became obsessed with finding the perfect self tanner (for me anyways). What I want (and many others) from a self tanner is first THE COLOR. It HAS to be natural. Second is the staying power, I exercise and play sports a lot so It has to be able to stay. And thirdly, no smell. That's just a dead giveaway. So I finally found after many drugstore self tanners & beauty shop self tanners, my favorite mainly because of the color, which was Tomas Total Tan from [@] (identical to Fake Bake). The only thing I HATED about it was that after I exercised it would come off so easily! Also, it turned my chest like a funky green color, which was not attractive. I guess it didn't react well with my sweat. So then I was on a hunt AGAIN to find a GOOD self tanner.I read so many reviews on self tanners on Youtube and sites like these. I started gravitating towards the L'oreal line. I was hearing so many positive things about it and I was like chances are, it's as good as people say because there's not that many negative reviews. So I went to Walmart, picked up the Gelee in Medium Natural Tan, and the Luminous Bronzer. I tried the Medium Natural first.First, in the bottle it looks tinted orange, but in fact it is not. Its almost a clear gel, which may be a problem for beginners, but I found it was VERY easy to rub in and apply, but it's kind of a lie when they say quick dry. But I've found ways around that such as doing it in light layers, or mixing my regualr body lotion with it. It also says color developes in an hour, I beleieve it does, but just not on ME. It takes me a few coats to get a nice bronze color. The color is FABULOUS. I found that even though its not tinted, if I apply at night and take a shower in the morning, the color looks better. Excess buildup of DHA may look a little more orange. EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE before putting this on! A MUST! Also, you HAVE to moisturize! It will help the tan last longer and also help the color, which is a beautiful BRONZE- NO ORANGE color. It has the most brown/bronze undertones I've seen in any self tanner. The smell is almost non-existent, and really is after your first shower. I've done a whole weeks worth of two hour workouts and volleyball with this on and IT STAYED! I was SO surprised! It was GREAT! Didn't turn me any funky colors either! So overall this self tanner is GREAT! And CHEAP! And it's so easy to find because they sell it at like EVERY drugstore. BEST drugstore self tanner there is. Period. And THE BEST I'VE EVER USED! When I was standing next to all my girls, I was the same exact shade of tan as them. (a few notes: I'm not a fair-skinned girl in summer, I'm medium with golden undertones, so I can't speak for the fair-skinned, but I would try this product anyways! Also, I have yet to dry Medium Deep, but I'm pretty satisfied with this color.) Also ladies, this is VERY IMPORTANT. Do NOT use a body lotion that has Mineral Oil (Petrolum), Stearic Acid, or Triethanolamine. They do not react with DHA well (high pH levels). They WILL give you a orange glow or tint. This even applies if it's IN your self tanner. Find an all natural body lotion. (4 of 4 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Gelee, Medium Natural, 5 fl oz: This was terrific, one application and I had a great natural-looking tan! I've been using the lotion for several years, but I was hoping to find a self-tanner without tint. I work out every night, and I find that when I use the tinted self-tanner in the morning and then sweat during my evening workout, the tint gets all over my workout clothes as I am sweating it off. I have been just wiping down my arms & legs before working out, but I was hoping to avoid that with the non-tinted gel. Unfortunately, I cannot stand the stickiness of the gel, and I'm not even going to leave it on long enough to see how the tan comes out. I don't understand how people think that the gel goes on smoothly, because I have always found that lotions and mousses are much more easy to apply than gels, and they dry quickly with no sticky feeling. I'm sorry I spent the money on this product, and I will return to the Sublime tinted lotion. (0 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Gelee, Medium Natural, 5 fl oz: I love this stuff. I wish I would have found this sooner. It feels good on your skin. The fragrance is light and I would compare it to the smell of wearing lotion everyday. It doesn't leave a sticky or greasy feeling. It doesn't rub off on clothes or sheets, as long as you let it dry before putting on your clothes or laying on your bedding. I absolutely love it. I have only used it twice so far; last night before bed and this morning after my shower and I can already see a slight tan. I'm so excited to start the summer out with a tan and not be the whitest kid on the block! TIP: EXFOLIATE BEFORE EACH APPLICATION.
