I've been using this product for years to add color to my legs. It works well (but don't get your legs wet until it dries completely). The color is very natural and you can make it as dark as you want by using more. I use a little less in the fall/winter.

Alright so this stuff looked pretty convincing. At the store I was debating about getting this or the banana boat self tanner and I definitely made the wrong decision. I spent a little more on the loreal because I thought they had their stuff together but not with this product. I had been tanning the previous months and just started to hate going tanning and also my stomach and legs were EXTREMELY dark but my arms, shoulders, neck, and face were still pale. So I stopped tanning and applied this to my arms and shoulders.....bad idea. I followed the instructions very well and thought I would get a subtle pretty tan but It just looked like my arms took a trip to visit the oompa loompa factory. The smell was the last thing on my mind, I was trying to get this stuff off! It was SO streaky and looked completely unnatural. It has been 3 days and my splotchy arms look like they are here to stay. So save yourself the misery and do not buy!

I just used this self-tanning lotion for the first time last night, and this is the first time I've EVER used self-tanning lotion, so this review is only based on the one and only experience I've had so far using this product.

I read a ton of reviews on here before using the lotion because I was so nervous about butchering the application process and looking like an orange!

Overall, the lotion spreads pretty well and is decently easy to see - although you CAN end up with streaks if you don't blend it in really well (make sure you're doing this in good lighting!). I have just a couple little splotchy areas that I've noticed today, but nothing major. Just be sure to BLEND WELL! Otherwise, it looks pretty good!

One thing I wish more people would have mentioned in their reviews (I only read one review that mentioned this tip) is to WEAR GLOVES ON YOUR HANDS TO APPLY!!! The insides of my hands are a dirty orange color. The bottle says to wash your hands thoroughly after application, which I made sure to do, but they still look absolutely hideous. Hopefully that part of the "tan" will fade quickly! I was pretty pale before using this lotion, so maybe if you are already darker, your hands won't get AS dark, but I'd still recommend just putting gloves on to apply.

A lot of people said they didn't like the smell, but I thought it was actually pretty neutral. I didn't notice it or mind it at all.

My husband did comment on the "glitter" right away, but, as other people have mentioned, you can get a bath and apply the lotion at night, then shower the glittery part off in the morning. The glittery sheen might be nice to have, though, in the summer, especially if you're heading out to the beach! :o)

So far, I am very pleased with this product. I'll continue to use it daily until my tan is where I want it to be, then I'll report back on the results so you all can be fully "in the know" about this product. ;)

L'Oreal's Deep Self-tan is the best of these products I have tried, and gives you the deepest and most even tan. That said, it smells nasty, like all the others; it stays sticky for hours, though it dries quickly; and be very careful applying it to elbows, fingers and ankles/feet, as it will go really dark. The color lasts a good while, a couple weeks, but forget getting your stomach or face really dark. I have applied it for a couple days to the stomach alone and then done the whole body, and even that doesn't help. But it's great for arms, legs, chest and shoulders, and those are the parts you show most on a day to day basis.

I use this product after I exfoliate either in the shower or bath. Sometimes I put it on after my shower before work or after my bath in the evening. If in the evening, I don't wash my hair and then wake up and take a full shower to do away with the sunless tan odor. I primarily use this product in the winter so I only use it on the upper part of my body because that's all that shows.

The thing I like best about this product is that when you put it on there is a bronzing agent in the lotion so you can determine if it is applied evenly or if there are any streaks. I also like the deep color for my dark skin tone. Other lotions do not really show results.

The only downside to the product is the smell. This is true with any sunless tan product though. I reccomend taking a bath at night and then a shower in the morning to do away with the smell for the day.

Overall, this is one of the better sunless tanners I have found and I mix it in with very high end products. I generally use this on my face and neck.

The GOOD: not 'gradual', good color, my own mom asks if I'm back to tanning beds. Super easy to put on evenly.

The BAD: large sparkles while it sets (creepy for work...or walking the dog), yet if you sleep with it, it gets all over your sheets because of the bronzer (washes out). The sunless tanner washes out quickly, but that could be me.

I have tried a number of self-tanners, and this is the best I have found and the only one I will use. I am a fair complected, natural red head, and I don't tan easily. This product creates a nice, natural looking color on my face and body, and if I do get a bit of sun and then use the product, the results are great! I get compliments on my "tan" quite often.

Hands down best for the price on the market. It comes in Light, medium, medium dark, and deep natural. If you have light skin use light-medium.
