Finally, on a whim I looked at my local grocery store (of all places) and finally found it in medium. I am very very pale, so I was hesitant to buy medium, but gave it a try. I LOVE this lotion. This summer I've tried soooo many, even other Loreal tanners, and this is amazing. I can only use the gradual kind apparently, because I'm so fair I need to build up an even base to have it look natural. This smells THE BEST of all (Jergens smell awful). This has a green tea smell (exactly like Garniers makeup removing cloths). It's runnier than a regular lotion, which I prefer because it's not as greasy and absorbs faster (under 30 min). You can only see the shimmer in the sunlight, and this gives me the most natural looking color (esp in bright sunlight- other tanners look orange). I'm VERY particular about how self tanner looks on my legs. If there's the slightest streak or funny color, I'll wear pants. With this, it looks great every time and I can throw on shorts with no worries. Finally!! VS Most Liked Negative Review First off, note that this ... Some people I noticed said they hated the "glitter", but I loved it, and certainly don't consider it glitter. It has a nice shimmer to it that you can really only see in the sun. The smell isn't terrible, but it DOES have a smell to it. The actual color did show up, but it wasn't dark at all, even though I am fair skinned and got medium. I used a little on the tops of my feet and they turned pretty orange the next day. Also, as soon as you take a shower, all the color will be gone, including the shimmer. It did leave my skin very moisturized though, but that was probably because it was so greasy! Overall, if you're looking for a moisturizer that will give you a little color (and shimmer!), I think this may work for you. I have tried tanning lotions before and always find they leave my skin glittery, or uneven. This lotion does not do that.It goes on evenly and stays that way even when it starts to fade. After the first use with this one I saw results and the smell was so much better than others. It also leaves your skin so soft. It leaves a natural looking tan and is not streaky or orange. It gives your skin a healthy glow that is not fake or orange looking. It is easy to use and I will continue to use is always. I bought a tube about a year ago and had not been able to find it on the shelf anymore. So happy I found The Drugstore so that I could get a supply. This is a gradual tanner, so I use it once a day for about a week, then use for 2 days and skip 1 day. The shimmer in it does help to see if you missed a spot IF you can go out in the sun to look at it. But the shimmer is kind of strange looking. I always use vinyl gloves when applying self-tanners so as to not get it in the lines on my palms or under my cuticles. I find the product difficult to find in my rural area, so it is great to order it from drugstore.com! The instructions on the product indicate that you should apply it after showering - and I think this would work (the scent is not bad, unlike many products...but there is still a slight scent). Instead, I put it on every morning, go for a run, and then shower awhile later. It is only thus on my body for about 4 hours per day, but I still have a lovely, even, natural glow all year round. Side note: for some reason, there are two different "versions" of this product. On one label, it says "New!"; on another, it says "Superior Scent". Luckily, drugstore.com sells the "Superior Scent" version; the lotion is thick. In contrast, the label that says "New!" that I have purchased in stores contains a lotion that is thin and runny. The natural color and illuminizer makes my skin look beautiful. I have fair skin and the sunless tanners with bronzers never look so natural.
