Preference Color Matching System:

More than 50% gray - Your results will be slightly lighter-looking than the haircolor results shown.
Red hair - Your color results will be light auburn.

Warnings

Do not use:

I used this color all over for about 2 years with early grays. Then I decided to start getting my hair colored professionally because my grays increasing and I was concerned about how faded out my ends were getting from using home color.

After a few salon sessions, I figured out what I was doing wrong (even though I was following the directions on the package). I have been doing my color at home again with this product, but just the roots-I do not do the last step of the instructions, which tell you to pull through the color for 5 minutes to freshen it. I bought a basic colorists bowl and brush at the hair supply store and use them to apply my color to my roots with the brush instead of the applicator bottle, which can not control the amount you put on. Also, I have stubborn grays so I leave the color on for 40 minutes (start the time after the application process is done). No one EVER knows I I color my hair.

The color doesn't fade. It does tone down a little within a week. It doesn't get brassy either. My hair is medium brown and my natural highlights are reddish (and Irish skin coloring) so this color is perfect for me. If you are a person that gets blond highlights naturally, I do think you would like this color.

Like any hair color, salon or box, the ammonia smell is bad. I especially have a hard time when I lean over the sink or tub to rinse it out because the fumes get trapped in the sink and hit me in the face.
