Comments about L'Oreal Studio Secrets The One-Sweep Eye Shadow, Playful for Blue Eyes, .09 oz: Good Morning! I too am a BzzAgent and received the One Sweep Eyeshadow for free to use and review on. I have now had time to use it in "real life" and the gimmicky excitement is over. My opinion really has not changed much. I still really like it, for me. I am a mother of two teenagers, a business owner and a wife of an Army Soldier, so there really is no time for mom to put on make-up. I have now used the eyeshadow a few times before running out the door and it takes me just a minute and it makes me feel good (which is what matters right?).As for the product itself... the eyeshadow has stayed on all day. Through days of running errands in hot, sweaty Texas, that was impressive. The application for me was s bit difficult at first and I do still struggle. Here's why... I'm left handed! The eyeshadow is meant to be applied one way and one way only, I find myself twisting, flipping and often having to stop briefly to think about which way I need to have the shadow, applicator and my hand. When my right-handed daughter tried it she didn't seem to have nearly the trouble I did. Once you get the hang of it, you may very well only need "one sweep". I think this will vary for every individual based on skin tone and your preference in look. My fairer skinned daughter literally needed one sweep and a touch of blending and she was done. She is also 15, mom says no heavy make-up (she's beautiful and doesn't need it anyway!). I on the other hand am a tad darker than her and much older and needed a couple of sweeps to achieve the desired darkness. A little blending on the outer eye and done... still MUCH faster, easier, cheaper and more convenient for me than trying to achieve the same look with three different shadows, using various brushes, ect.Two things that I would mention that are not my favorite... The applicator - Besides being a bit difficult for me to use, its a bit scratchy and applies the shadow kind of harshly. I do wonder if a stiffer angled brush would work? I think that maybe it would give a softer more blended look (but not all blended together...am I making sense?) and think it might be easier to flip the brush around for each eye with the shadow already on the brush. This also leads to my next thing which would be the storage of the applicator. Let's just put it out there...it makes for a really gunky mirror. I also wonder if a brush would lessen the amount of residue on the mirror because of the shadow being still more in powder form than compacted. After having sometime to use the One Sweep eyeshadow, I would definitely recommend this to others that would like a quick, trendy, quality inexpensive product to use to add just a touch of "pretty" to their lives.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review Displaying review 1 ![]()
