I'm pretty much the fairest of the fair when it comes to skin tones. I've tired so many foundations but none were ever fair enough. This stuff matches my skin perfectly. The undertones are niether too pink or too yellow.

I have an extremely fair skin tone. For years, I've been trying to find a foundation that matched my skin tone. I've used the lightest shades of every brand from mid-priced to expensive, and they've always darkened and turned orange on my skin. I saw a screen tester of Loreal's True Match at a local department store. I followed the instructions, putting it up to my wrist to find the right color for me. My perfect shade is Porcelain Warm I. When I first applied it, I was amazed as to how beautiful it made my skin and my eyes look. I have light golden brown eyes, and the gold popped with the right foundation shade. And throughout hours upon hours or wear, it never changed color on me. It's the same porcelain shade at 9 p.m. as it was at 7 a.m. when I applied it.

I've been using True Match for the last couple of weeks and I'm far from impressed. I've tried multiple different application techniques (over lotion, over lotion and primer, no lotion, no primer, mixed into lotion, applied w/ fingers, applied with foundation brush) and I'm really not getting good results. I usually use a very fair colored foundation but this color seems to be too light for my complexion. Beyond that it goes on very heavy and even with a foundation brush I can't get a smooth finish. Add to that the fact that the foundation begins pooling around my eyes and nose and it adds up to quite an unhappy mess. The last few days I've been mixing a small amt in to my lotion to essentially make a tinted moisturizer because I hate to waste the rest of the bottle but I'm incredibly close to throwing in the towel and vowing never to buy this again.
