I work as a makeup artist for a number of luxury, prestige and dept store brands. On occasion I purchase mass market foundations to see if there are options for women who are on a budget. I was pleasantly surprised with this product! It applies, wears, looks and lasts as well as Makeup Forever brand's HD (high definition) Foundation. I always use a fluffy synthetic foundation brush to apply liquid foundation (wash your brush when you're done!), but it works okay using your fingers. I've tried it with and without primer and setting powder too.

I recommend using a makeup-removing oil or cream cleanser on the skin, followed by a gel or foaming cleanser (any face wash), to completely remove all liquid makeup products from the skin.

I am actually pleasantly surprised with how good this foundation is. I've tried Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Shiseido, and 3 brands of mineral foundation. Clinique and Elizabeth Arden worked very well with my combination skin, but they're just too expensive. It goes on smoothly (apply with a foundation brush for best results) and it wears very well. During the day, I only had to touch it up twice and just a few blots with the powder puff was all that was needed. There is no caking and it blends very well. The only complaint is this color is for light-medium skin with pink undertones, but there isn't much pink or red in it. So, those with more medium than light skin will have better results. I'm really excited though I have found a foundation that goes good with my skin I can buy without trying to find a department store.
