I've tried this with a clean face + primer and it will NOT stay on. I've tried it with a clean bare face. I've tried it dusted lightly over a liquid foundation. This stuff is crud. It sinks into pores and lines and looks cakey. The cheap stuff from Aldi's is actually much, much, MUCH better! (About on-par with Cover Girl loose powder.) For the price, I expected this to be at least a decent powder. Nope!

Even with using a facial primer under it, it looks creapy within hours. It sinks into pores and fine lines and makes you look older. And I'm not even 40!

I have never liked most mineral makeups because of poor coverage. In fact, most mineral makeups and liquid foundations don't impress me (including $40 waste of money prestige brand foundations). This makeup has full coverage that covers all imperfections and it lasts longer than most. You end up with a luminous glow if you put an oil free serum and face cream underneath. I recommend using Genifique and Absolue by Lancome underneath. Both are non-comedogenic as well.

I love this foundation, just be sure to tap the powder off the bottom of the base of the brush (which screws onto the dispenser) before you start applying the foundation so you don't get it all over you.

I've no idea why any of these are getting good reviews. I fell for the mineral makeup hype and purchased this. First, the packaging is in three parts: a clear plastic lid, the teeny cheap brush affixed to a middle lid, and the body well area containing the powder capped with a third lid that is perforated and seems to be permanently attached.

You can not get the powder into the perfed lid area without spilling it all over the place. And there was so little product in the packaging, that the small brush could not reach it in the well area. I also tried dumping the power into the clear plastic lid. That worked, but the brush won't get to the bottom! Then I tried using a palette and my own brush. That worked fairly well to evenly distribute the powder onto and into the brush. Even being careful to tap excess powder out of the brush, the product does not go onto the skin evenly nor smoothly. Also, if your skin is at all moist or oily, it will clump on and be almost impossible to smooth out evenly.

In my opinion, large waste of money for this particular product.

This is a very nice product. It is light-weight but offers very good coverage. It is easy and fast to apply. It covers blemished without looking clumpy and without drying out the skin. I've tried other brands from boutiques and drugstores and this is the best one I have found.

Since the reviews were so positive, I decided to skip the expensive department store mineral foundations and try this. Be warned this does not provide "light" coverage; it was so cakey that I discovered lines and wrinkles I never knew I had! To top things off, my face looked so oily and shiny (despite my dry skin) that I had to put loose powder on which, of course, made it look all that much worse. In the end, I had to take it all off.

I use this foundation everyday, and have been more satisfied with it than the more expensive stuff like Clinique and Bare Minerals. It matches my skin tone exactly, and makes my skin look perfect.
I'm buying this foundation for the rest of my life! :D

While another famous and very expensive mineral foundation (you know which one I mean!) left my skin dry and crepe-y, the L'Oreal mineral foundation gives the perfect finish - even though it's a powder, it's non-drying. I wouldn't hesitate to say that it's a better product overall than the more expensive alterrnative. The covereage is wonderful, and it's very easy to apply.

And here's a tip: you can get more coverage by applying concentrated amounts with a small eyeshadow brush.
