This smudges after only an hour or two. It leaves complete black marks under your eyes, really bad! Horrible!! I really liked the way it went on, but when I looked in the mirror after a couple hours I about died. I looked terrible, like I had 2 black eyes. Would NOT recommend at all.

this product is a nightmare. it goes on like a dream and looks amazing but only for a minute and then it starts smudging. what's the point of being waterproof if it runs and smudges and flakes immediately and requires constant touch-ups? the waterproof voluminous in regular black works much better. steer clear of this carbon black.

It is not waterproof and is definitely not long wear.

I bought this to wear to a funeral, assuming that my tears wouldn't ruin my makeup. An hour into the viewing I had black circles under my eyes. After that I was careful to continually clean it up until I got home. Once home I didn't care how I looked since I was just "vegging" out on my couch for a couple of hours. When I went to bed I had full on raccoon eyes, though I hadn't cried since the funeral and hadn't rubbed my eyes. I used eye makeup remover cloths, cleaned myself up & went to bed.

The next morning I woke up to new black circles under my eyes. I hadn't even used that much. GRRR!!!!

I don't know where they get off calling this mascara waterproof!! I wore this mascara to an important event. I was thinking that I looked really good!! I went to the bathroom and caught a look at myself and was so embarrased, I had big black circles like a Raccoon all around my eyes and I didn't even rub my eyes. How can they call this waterproof. This is the worst mascara I have ever used!!

I love this mascara. It makes my thin lashes pretty thick and long. It also wears very well and stays put all day. I never noticed that it every flaked off. I have used this product for years and love it.

Ummm... It's very strange for me to read all these bad reviews when I had such great results. Was there a bad batch of mascara and I got one from the good batch?

I have short thin lashes and this definitely does wonders for me. I use an eyelash curler and it holds the curl. My lashes are separated and look fuller. It looks very natural and it's easy to remove with a good eye makeup remover.( I use Clinique Take The Day Off)

Tips: I blow on brush before applying.
Apply gently. Don't do the wiggle through the lashes motion. I don't think this brush was made to do that . Just brush from base to tip.

I was so excited to see the carbon black voluminous, I didn't even look at the reviews and just bought it. Boy, was that a mistake.

I will say the NORMAL black voluminous is an excellent product. CLASSIC, my go-to. In both regular and waterproof format. Only thing it lacks is being a really intense black. So I jumped at this.

It's the oddest thing. NOT waterproof, smudges even more than non-waterproof mascara! And paradoxically, it is really hard to remove. So when you think you got it all off, you still wake up with smudgy panda eyes in the morning. So sad. Save your money.
