I'm new to the foot fungus world but anxious to get rid of this before it gets worse. Apparently, toenail fungus starts with a skin fungus; so, if you treat one, you have to treat the other.
My podiatrist recommended a Miconazole spray for the skin fungus -this one fit the bill. It's easy to use, dries quickly, and has no significant or lasting odor. It's a bit tricky spraying under the toes but do-able. (I prop my foot on the side of the tub so I can turn and get underneath.)
Lotrimin cleared up the skin irritation quickly. Am continuing to use it for full month to make sure the skin fungus is gone.
Meanwhile, I'm using tea tree oil for the toenails (much safer and equally, if not more effective than the prescription nail lacquer, without all the rather nasty possible side effects)

This was a great product. We are plagued with athlete's foot and of all the sprays, this worked best for us. But now it sucks. They redesigned it, and it's impossible to use. Whenever anyone in our family starts spraying it, the stupd thing slides around..and stops spraying. Why do so many product "new design"/redesigns lead to things that just ARE SO MUCH WORSE. They aren' ttrying to redesign it to make it better. They are making it cheaper for them to make and worse for us to use. Two thumbs down. Will switch to different brand.
Shake can well and spray a thin layer over affected area twice daily (morning and night).
Supervise children in the use of this product.
For athlete's foot, pay special attention to spaces between the toes, wear well-fitting, ventilated shoes and change shoes and socks at least once daily.
For athlete's foot and ringworm use daily for 4 weeks; for jock itch, use daily for 2 weeks.
If condition persists longer, ask a doctor.
This product is not effective on the scalp or nails.
