I'm switching from DHC's cleansing oil to this one. It's not an enthusiastic switch though. I prefer DHC's cleansing oil to this one but Lumene's cleansing oil is a good product and a lot more cost effective. If you don't care about spending more, stick with DHC. Lumene loses in terms of (1) effectiveness, (2) greasiness and (3) messiness. Lumene's cleansing oil doesn't quite remove your makeup as well as DHC--but results are pretty close. Lumene's cleansing oil also leaves a slight greasy feel after you use it. My regime is to wash my face after using the cleansing oil--followed by toner and then moisturizer--so the greasy feeling that doesn't really bother me too much. I'm not sure what your regimen is though so you might like/not like this oily residue. Finally, the pump on this Lumene's cleansing oil stinks. It leaks ever so slightly here and there so you might want to be careful with where you store this esp if you keep your toiletries on wood shelving. Lumene's cleansing oil is a good product though and if you're on a budget this is a good option compared to DHC or some drugstore brands.

My very dry skin responded beautifully to this product. I no longer have dry patches on my face and no itching. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean.

Left a slight residue on my skin and didn't remove all of my makeup. It didn't leave my skin feeling dry and tight like some of the other oil cleansers have, so I suppose that's a mark in its favor.

Oh! The bottle -- the pump on this is a ridiculously bad design. Every pump caused the product to leak out from around the edges and bottom of the pump. Even if the product had been great, I would have discontinued using it because of the problems with the bottle and pump.

This really works great at removing makeup without drying out my dry, sensitve skin.

No Mineral Oil, No Strong Fragrance.... Cleans great, rinses clean with no leftover oily feel on the skin.

I just put a small amount in the palm of my hand, apply it to dry face, work it in for a couple of minutes and then rinse with a warm wash cloth.

Wonderful product, don't want to be without..... Always keep a couple of backups on hand as it sells out very often.

I love how this product removes ALL my makeup, including waterproof mascara. It leaves my skin soft and clean after I remove it with a warm, wet washcloth. The best.

I use this the remove my make up, I hate the usual make up removers on the market where you use a cotton ball or those wipes. This one is very fasy and effective. I put a fair amount all over my face rub around to remove my eye make up, foundation and lipstick. Once my make up is loose and smudge all over my face I just rinse it off with cold or warm water and the oil will turn into a white liquid and everything comes right off! This is the best product, I haven't seen these in stores lately. Hope they are not discontinued.

I tried this product based on the comparison with DHC cleansing oil. What I found is that it's a bit too lubricating for me, so I use a cleanser afterwards. However, it cleans my skin better than DHC's oil cleanser. My pores have never been so clear. I have mild, intermittent acne and oily skin. I've had acne since I was 8 years old. I've tried just about everything on the market, but nothing cleans pores like this product. I highly recommend it.

The product does a good job. The only thing is that even though the oil does not have a strong smell it leaves after smell on your skin for hours. It is not that very unpleasant but I just do not like permanent perfume on my face. Other than that, if you have sensitive or dry skin, you will notice how gentle it works.
