I was searching for a make up remover that could handle the multiple layers of water-proof mascara I wear when I came upon this one. It does a really good job of removing very stubborn waterproof mascara. Usually I use the maybelline define-a-lash water-proof mascara. I used wipes to remove mascara and the wipes worked ok. Some mascara was always left behind with the wipes and my eyes would end up irritated.
This make up remover did a quick job of removing the water-proof mascara. I do have to use a lot of product for each eye, but it is worth it because it is effective (no raccoon eyes) and gentle. Doesn't bother my skin or eyes. This is a pretty big splurge for my budget but it is worth the price.

I bought this because I have been trying to limit the amount of chemicals and parabens in my beauty products. Though this is advertised as "organic," it is only one ingredient that is organic. I also discovered on the label that it lists two different parabens in the ingredient list. I think it's ridiculous that a product that markets itself as "organic" would be full of parabens.
I tried the product before I read the label. It is kind of oily and leaves residue.
The only positive that I noticed is that it didn't take much of the product to remove eye makeup.

I always wear full makeup, and cleansing alone is simply not enough to get off my eye makeup. This is easily as good as Clinique, Lancome, L'Oreal & Estee Lauder, except I get more product for the money. This doesn't cloud up my eyes or leave them irritated until I can get to my cleansing step, which is really nice. Even long-wear makeup (foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, etc.) comes off fast with this. The fragrance is very minimal. I am really happy to have found this inexpensive alternative to my high-end makeup remover.

I usually use Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Make Up Remover, and was getting a little bored of it. I decided to try new eye makeup removers since I go through them pretty fast. Lumene is a good product, it removes eye make up very easily, and I wear 2 coats of waterproof mascara. What I like about it is that the opening of the bottle is only a small hole, this is amazing and helps you control how much remover you need. Neutrogena and many other brands use bottles with a big opening, and it often makes a mess when you pour remover on cotton rounds.
However, I think Neutrogena remover is slightly better than this one and less greasy.

This is a gentle but effective eye make-up remover that does not remove lashes with the make-up. The best attribute of this product is that it works as well as heavier, oily cleansers - and then rinses right off without leaving a film. One important tip - be sure to shake well before you dispense it every time. It separates in the bottle. Overall, this is a great product for the price.

Overall great product. It does leave an oily residue and can sting the skin a bit if you wait too long to wash your face after using it. Takes off my ultra-wear waterproof eyeliner and mascara with ease.

I often use non-waterproof mascara with a "sealer," and it's even more difficult to remove than waterproof mascara. I've been trying many different eye makeup removers, and many are very good, but to my surprise this one is the best I've found, and it's less than half the price of the other good ones. It's not oily, and as I use it it doesn't spread makeup residue all over the place. It's quick and effective. Combining those qualities with the price leaves me with a hands-down winner: the eye makeup remover I have no qualms about recommending.

Very effective getting my waterproof & regular mascara off and a plus for my sensitive skin/eyes. I wear contacts & have never had a problem. I like to moisten a small square cotton pad to were it is slightly damp with a little water first then apply the product onto, which stretches this product out a bit. This is a good replacement for those who like Clinique's version for sensitive eyes.
