This thing stays put...which is part of the problem. It's too small, so I can't get a finger up there to break the suction. Not to mention it's also really wide, and is uncomfortable. Another waste of money...

Comments about Lunette Menstrual Cup, Size 1, Clear, 1 ea:

Pads were constantly chaving, giving me rashes, and causing me to have re-occurring bladder infections. Tampons are so drying that using them continuously actually caused me pain. I was desperate for a better option, and after resercing dozens of various cup brands online I decided the lunette was the one for me. I am never going back to disposables! Using the lunette is super easy, and once it is in I dont feel it at all. I have not had any leaks, there is no odor like with pads, and best of all it does not negatively affect my health the way pads and tampons did. My lunette stays put and stays comfortable no mater what I am doing, including yoga, and while working at my local haunted house(which involves alot of runing around, and jumping about). I have also found that because it is held in partly by suction and partly by the pelvic floor muscles that using a cup has strengthened my pelvic muscles and I now have fewer instances of stress incontinence! Another huge benifit of using a cup is that unlike pads and tampons it does not mean constantly throwing money away , and for someone on a tight budget like myself this means a great deal. One of the main reasons I chose lunette over other cup brands is that it is made of medical grade silicon which is safe for internal use and simple to keep sterile by washing it and wiping it down with rubbing alcohol. I have been going on about the beinfits of using lunette to every woman I know, and definately feel that using a cup is far superior to any other option!

Comments about Lunette Menstrual Cup, Size 1, Clear, 1 ea:

I am so glad that I purchased the lunette cup! I was tired of spending money on tampons and began researching a menstrual cup. I had heard that the diva cup is rather long, and know from my doctor that I have a relatively low cervix and worried that it would be painful to wear a cup that touched my cervix. I read that the lunette cup was shorter, and also very soft.

I trimmed the stem a bit, and it's so comfortable I don't notice that I'm wearing it. I feel so clean, and I love that I only have to empty it 2x/day. There was a small learning curve, but the lunette website is very helpful--just try a couple of folds and see what works best for you. I also read about "stirring" (circling the outside of the cup with a finger after it's been inserted) to help the cup open up and form a seal, and this really worked well for me. Another tip I heard was to rinse the cup with cold water before insertion, which makes the cup more firm and allows it to open up more easily.

I also bought the feel better wash, which works great and smells very nice. The wipes might be nice if you will need to empty it in a public restroom. I am so pleased with this product and am tempted to tell every female I know about it!

              Mad About Lunette

Purchased the Lunette Cup after a good deal of online research and couldn't be happier. There are great comparison charts and videos online. I heard that size 1 was small-ish and soft, which is exactly what I wanted after having tried the Keeper back in the dark ages and finding it to be rigid/painful/gross. The Lunette is the opposite. It's pliable and rather easy to use once you get the hang of it. Learn that C-fold, and voila! I appreciate how this product seals your period away from the world and keeps you very clean. I change mine twice a day (during my morning and evening shower,) and it's greatly enhanced the quality of my menstruating days. Loving it. For the record, I bought a size 1 despite the general recommendation that women in their 30's purchase the larger size. I am a very petite person who hasn't yet given birth, and I'm not convinced my inner anatomy isn't equally tiny, despite the many "expert" suggestions to the contrary. If you are on the fence, give this a shot!

I did a lot of research before I switched to a cup, but am really glad that I did. It's more environmentally friendly, needs to be changed less often, isn't filled with unnatural chemicals like tampons that become saturated and can cause TSS, and you save so much money in the long-run.

There definitely is a learning curve, but after the first couple of uses you'll completely forget your tampons. You can also cut down the stem so that it fits more comfortably.

Comments about Lunette Menstrual Cup, Size 1, Clear, 1 ea:

I've been using this cup about 9 months now, and I love it. I feel so clean while using it, as it forms an actual seal. No more leaks and no more running to the bathroom every couple of hours to check myself! It is so clean that I don't even wear a pantyliner.

On most days, I only have to change it in the morning and evening, so I go all day without even thinking about my period. I am not even remotely interested in using tampons again, so my big stash of them went to someone else.

Another plus: this is so discrete. I have no waste in the trashcan, no pack of supplies to take along to work, etc. If I don't mention it, my husband doesn't even know I'm on my period.

I was expecting a steep learning curve with this, but I did some research before using it and found it easy from the start. I just use the C-fold, which always works well for me.

A couple of times I inserted the cup further back and had to work harder to break the seal. I also spilled it once before I got the hang of removing it.

I remove the cup in the shower once a day and at the toilet once a day. Sure, you have to wash your hands afterwards, but you would do that anyway, right? To me, the slight mess at removal is totally worth it because I can go about my day and not think once about my protection.

I suggest consulting the Lunette website about sizing information. They make some good suggestions. I know people who own both sizes, and are happy with both. But one might be more comfortable than the other depending on your body.

I'm a person who can't purchase anything without doing research, and I learned that the shape and size differs with the various cup manufacturers. Among reviewers who tried multiple kinds, Diva (the most available brand) was rarely the number one choice (due to length and stiffness). Just letting you know there are other cups out there!! I leaned toward the Lady Cup due to shape and size but disliked the stiff straight stem. I think Lunette was the perfect choice for me: relatively short, flexible, soft stem.

The Lunette is worth every penny. Be good to yourself and get a cup!
