Comments about M.D. Forte Facial Lotion II, 2 fl oz:

I have used other MD Forte skin products in the line but had not tried this one. I saw the name that included the word "lotion" and made an assumption that it would be similar to a moisturizer in consistency. It isn't. It is a milky-white slightly thick water consistency. Ok, I can deal with that, but it left me with questions of how to use (when to apply) it. I don't really know if it is supposed to be used right after cleansing, or after a toner, or after a moisturizer. There are no instructions in or on the box.

So, I made an educated guess. I decided to use this as if it were a toner and have been using after cleansing but before moisturizing. I've been using for almost a month and just don't see any benfit at all.

I am giving 2 stars because I do feel just the slightest tingle when applied, so I know that the glycolic is at least still somewhat active in the product. But, it is not working for me and I will not purchase again. The Skin Rejuvination Lotion is a much better bet.

Comments about M.D. Forte Facial Lotion II, 2 fl oz:

This product was recommended to me years ago by a dermatologist to keep my skin free of blackheads and for exfoliation. I have found that when I use it regularly on my face at bedtime, my skin stays clear and seldom breaks out. I recently tried using other products out of curiosity and regret that decision. I am now back on using this product at night and Dermadoctor's Calm, Cool and Corrected in the morning before makeup application. I began using MD Forte I (milder) and switched to MD Forte II once my skin became used to the level I. It tingles when you put it on, but I have never suffered any complications (redness, inflammation, breakouts) from it. I have extremely sensitive skin and cannot tolerate Retin-A products or Benzoyl Peroxide products. My skin does well with glycolic acid products like MD Forte II. I also love the MD Forte Cleanser II, although I also began using the level I cleanser to allow my skin to adjust to using the glycolic acid product.
