It works great for me. When I go to the doctor when I am sick, the first thing they ask is do you have a temperature. Now, I can tell them exactly what my temperature is when taken at home.
I am very unhappy with this purchase!!! It does not take the correct temp. It only goes up to 97.7 and It takes more than 60 seconds to register. I had been to the hospital for a phlebotomy and they said I had 99.5 temp. So unfortunately, I got what I paid for!!! Very disappointing
The first one I purchased did not have the beeper working. I exchanged it. This second does beep and alarm. However it is so low that you cannot hear the beeper. I use it as a regular thermometer. I feel like I was sold this medical equipment with the company knowing about its defaults. Next time I will search around and pay more for a quality one. I purchased this at HY-VEE.
This digital thermometer is a very good bargain. It does take approximately 45 to 60 seconds for the temperature to be taken, just as the literature stated that it would. For the price that I paid for it, the bargain is excellent! I can remember when anything like this would have cost at least 5 to 10 times as much as this thermometer!
