We have more people than bathrooms. Sometimes I use the urinal when the bathroom is occupied or to avoid using the bathroom and waking up the household.

I spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out the directions. Finally, I just ignored them and figured it out on my own. I'm sure a drawing would have helped, but I'm not sure I'd want to see a drawing of that ;~)

The urinal works great for me (I'm female). I've only used it standing up so I don't know how well it would work sitting or laying down.

The only issue I had was with the lid. It took me a while to figure out how to attach it because of the way it and the urinal are made. Even after I figured it out, attaching the lid was more time consuming that I wanted it to be. But after attaching it a few times, I was able to attach it securely and more quickly.

I think another reviewer said it spills when trying to attach the lid. It almost spilled when I tried to attach the lid the first time. I solved that problem by sitting down, placing the urinal between my knees, holding is securely with my knees and using both hands to attach the lid. Perhaps there's a better or easier way but I couldn't find one.

It can only be used while sstading, but not while sitting. It was not anatomically designed correctly.

I've been using this model for a while now. I specifically use this model because of the lid, which is reliable. It's not the most comfortable thing to use and it takes a few times to get to know how exactly to use it without spilling but overall it is a good product.
