Automatic time set - the current EST (eastern standard time) has been preset at the factory. Just plug in the radio and select your time zone. The current time and day will automatically be displayed. In case of power outage, the long life battery (included) will maintain the current time and day and display accurately once power is restored. The backup alarm-time feature maintains set alarm even in the event of a power failure. With a wave of your hand, the motion sensor allows you to activate the display (when in display off mode), activate the Snooze function, and switch between radio and time display.
