the microcrystals are super-fine so it really works well without feeling like your face is being scraped. plus it heats up on contact which i believe opens the pores for better cleansing.

This product worked quickly to soften my skin and reduce the size of my pores. I think my skin tone has evened out as well. It is quite thick and it took a couple uses to determine the right amount to squeeze out but the excess was used on my elbows or knees which feel great now too.

I am going to have to agree with the majority of the reviews about the smell of this product. It smells like extra concentrated Milk of Magnesia! (I guess that would make sense if Magnesium is in the name.) But, I have to say that once you get past the odor, this product is amazing! I like to use this product in the shower to allow the steam to soften it up to make it easier to spread and make it easier to rinse off. I have to say that this product makes my face so soft, I can barely keep my hands off it!

I was looking for a daily exfoliater to use in the shower, but came across this and the sale price was so great thought I'd try it. I use it now 3 times a week at night and it works wonderfully! Be very gentle with it - I have sensitive skin and it doesn't cause any irritation. Took care of dry skin, blackheads and gave my skin a polished fresh look. Will buy again.

I read all of the reviews before purchasing this product and I am so happy I tried it. I love it! I am 45 and have used many, many different exfoliators over the years. While it is a little thick when squeezing out of the tube if you apply while in the shower it works really well. My skin feels incredibly smooth and soft afterwards. My makeup applies much better after I have used this. I see a difference with my pore size and blemishes. I am not prone to acne just the occassional small blackhead etc. The crystals seem to melt away as you apply to your skin, not like other products. I would highly recommend. Try it!

This is a great resurfacing paste. Don't let the smell and texture put you off it. It is so thick that it is difficult to get out of the tube however rub on face with water, ignore the medicine smell, and the results are beautiful.

Probably the best scrub available right now on this site (I've tried many). Boots no 7 is also good, but more pricey while this one is on sale.

Just be sure to spread this on your hand with water first and then rub onto your face.

The particles in this one (especially compared with the Magnesium Crystal Microdermabrasion polish) are much finer. I feel they still do a great job removing dead skin and this polish doesn't hurt like the magnesium kind (with large, sharp particles).

However, like other reviewers have stated, it is rather thick. You have to be careful in the shower to dilute it a little in your hand before spreading on your face because otherwise you could loose a chunk of it.

This product is great and really helps my rosacea! I have to use it every other day, especially before the monthly menace, but has taken away breakouts and helped immensly! I have tried a billion products and this works best. I don't have time for spa treatments or professional microdermabrasion. This works really well! Difficult to get out of tube, but the instructions say that you have to mix with a little water to smooth it out anyway. THIS is normal for this product! Be patient! It really does work well and you will see a difference after the 1st time you use it!

Once I started using home versions of spa and derm office treatments and exfoliation, I have never gone back. I am over 30, with first signs of wrinkles, some minor acne, and use makeup daily. I was very happy with the L'Oreal Dermo-Expertise line (Refinsh crystals and the Renoviste peel), but they are increasingly harder to find, especially in stores. Tried other "microdermabrasion" scrubs, but if it isn't the crystals, it isn't the same. This Promaxyl scrub at least replicates if not bests the performance of the L'Oreal product. The crystals are a bit rougher, so you do need to follow instructions and use enough water and moisturize after. The results are very satisfactory for this type of product which I have been using for a few years now - smaller pores, smoother skin, instant glow, aids clearing up of skin, less visible blackheads, better makeup application. If you aren't using a microdermabrasion scrub or an at home peel, you should experiment with adding it (unless of course you have super sensitive skin).
