OK, I have to first confess that I am as hairy as a bear..... everywhere. It's a curse because I like to keep all of my hair well maintained, groomed or shaved (depending on area) and it grows faster than I can handle. In addressing the back, I have tried all methods and the best one for me is trimming. To that end, I've struggled with Wahl trimmers to trim my own back or have someone else do it for me (embarassing). In comes the mangroomer...... This trimmer looks and feels like a cheap piece of garbage when you take it out of the package. But turn it on and it handles the hair like a Corvette engine on a lawnmower. I was very impressed about the performance. I gave it less than perfect for stars though because I have a feeling if it falls onece, the head or blades will be completely broken. The unit does not look serviceable in the event of breakage and the warranty is only 30 days.

A better name for this product would be the back hair ripper. I used it once and immediately had to stop because of the extreme pain as the device pulled the hair from my back. I now look like I have mange because of the few patches of hair that were pulled from my back before I had to stop. The best thing I could recommend using the man groomer for is as a door stop; or possibly a torture device. Although I don't think it would last long as a door stop because of how flimsy it is.

I bought this for my husband and he scratched his back trying to use it. This product hardly removed any hair at all. My husband does not have thick hair so any decent shaver should have worked. Don't buy this product!

If you're a single man and a little worried about back hair, it can really get you down, unless you're gumby and have the flexibility of stretch armstrong. This product works just as advertised and I was completely satisfied with the shave I've gotten from it. I haven't had it very long so I can't review it in regards to durability or longevity, but it has worked really well so far. If you have ever used an electric shaver on your face, then you can expect the same results from this product. You may need to shave a couple times a week with this product for the best results, but this Mangroomer makes it so easy, it really isn't that much of a hassle. 5/5 in my book.

Overall, I'd say this does what it says it will do. Some pointers: do NOT use it the same day you plan on taking off your shirt (for whatever reason...) because it does leave small, red scratches that go away in a day or so.

Basically, small strokes will get the hair off. It works pretty good on shoulders in addition to on the back.

I am impressed with how long the batteries last. I've had mine for a few months now and am still on the first batteries.

I do not regret this purchase.

I HAVE USED IT TWICE AND ALTHOUGH IT WORKS WHAT MY BACK LOOKED LIKED AFTERWARDS WAS LIKE ROAD RASH. I COULD NOT DARE PUT A HAND NEAR IT. NEEDED LOTION ON IT AND WHAT I COULD DOCTOR,BURNED TOO MUCH. THE BLADE AND ITS DIRECTION NEED SOME WORK .THE NORELCO GROOMER WOULD BE BETTER IF IT HAD A HANDLE TO HAVE REACH THE BACK.

Returned the 3rd one. None of them worked. Not a single hair was cut. I have light thin back hair. Back to paying freinds to shave my back with a razor. :)~
