I actually couldnt finish with it. I normally use a beard trimmer. I expected this to have a similiar cutting head. It does not. As long as you keep up you grooming this item should be bearable. I guess I want a little more than that out of a product. I put it to the test of mowing the thicket on my back immediately which it did a really good job of. Some may not like the light design, but I think that is what makes it easier to use when extended. Is a little awkward to use at first just takes practice. Price is good so you can't go wrong. Would buy again. I'm very pleased to say that I was wrong. The Mangroomer does everything that it promises. For me, my back appeared hair-free for almost a whole week. A much better option than waxing. It works best on areas like the shoulders, where it's easier to control the angle of the blades and the pressure, but I can shave my shoulders with a regular clipper that costs half as much. No, you buy this thing for the long angled handle, so you can shave the hard to reach areas. And that's where it works worst. Trouble is, it's light and not well weighted; which means when shaving your back, it is difficult to keep the groomer blades flat against your skin. And when it presses at an angle, the result is (1) pain, (2) scratches, and (3) poor hair removal. It's also poorly constructed. On mine, the power switch broke after just a few uses, so now I must remove the batteries to shut it off. I have a lot of back hair, and had to use a regular electric trimmer to get the volume down. Then it worked to cut the residual hair. Like several other reviewers, at first I was disappointed and didn't think the unit worked. Once I was able to use it for maintenance, it is a functional unit. I was really suprised when I saw it lets you shave off all your back hair by yourself. It works awesome! I have never been one to get waxed or lasered since it is way too painfull. If I knew about this shaver before I would have bought it immediately since I hate having my back hair with a passion. It is one of those things you just hate that you have every time you see a guy who has none and doesn't know how great he's got it. Anyhow, I used the shaver in my bathroom and was impressed how long it got when you extend the black handle portion of it. I seriously could reach everywhere on my whole back. However, it was a little strange to hit each area that easy in the beginning. All in all, it is awesome to get this shaver and that I can now shave my back. It really makes a huge difference for me as I always hated having back hair. I think any guy with it would love to get this shaver and their girlfriends will as well. This is a great tool for anyone like myself who has suffered with the dilemma of some back hair. I only have a couple of small patches on my lower back, but they have bothered me forever and now with this shaver I can get rid of them effortlessly. It is about time an easy option has been made for all men to have a smooth back. I am extremely impressed with the results and I feel this is an excellent product. I highly recommend for all men with any back hair and you will thank me for it.
