I somehow missed the part of the description where it clearly states that this creme is for "coarse" curly hair. I have hair as fine as a baby's so I almost just sent it back. However, I decided that I would see what it would do.

When I first applied the creme I was scared to see what was going to happen - it is very thick and almost "waxy". I used a generous amount (a little more than nickel sized for my slightly longer than chin length and very thin, fine hair).

After applying I dabbed my hair and scrunched it with my microfiber towel which may have removed some of the product but the bulk of it was definitely still there.

After air trying, I was surprised to find that my curls were in great shape and not weighed down! I used a very wide tooth comb to separate them a little and the result was incredible body and virtually no frizz. No easy feat in my hot, humid climate.

So even though I bought the wrong thing, it worked very well!

I found the scent a little odd-- reminded me of lemon furniture polish -- but it didn't linger in my hair so it was no big deal.

This product is my favorite curl cream. It defines my curls and holds down the frizz. I use it with mousse(my current favorite is Samy Curl Constructor Activating Mousse) & these two together & even separate work wonders on my curls. I LOVE IT!

I have very fine, curly hair, and this is the best thing to give the curls a gorgeous shape and keep it from frizzing. I also use a shea butter leave-in conditioner and Aveda lightweight smoothing fluid. I've used lots of other products, including Marc Anthony Curling Lotion, and nothing else works as well.

I bought this because it said Alcohol Free, Paraben Free, No Animal Testing. It dried out my hair and left it lifeless. Then I read the ingredients, which included Cetyl Alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol. How can it be alcohol free if it contains those ingredients? And if that's the case, and they're just using the "Socially Conscious" stamp, was it tested on animals? I felt like I'd been lied to. And I tossed it in the trash... where hopefully it didn't harm any animals.

My hair is kinky-curly/multi-textured; different sections of my hair respond differently to products for naturally curly hair. I happened upon this product in a local drugstore and, because my hair tends to get coarse and frizzy, decided to purchase it, This was not without some hesitation, because it contains mineral oil and petroleum jelly. After shampooing, I applied it to wet hair--primarily to the ends and worked the product up the hair shaft, being careful to avoid the scalp. I let it air dry. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. My hair was soft, not scrunchy or stiff, and it was not weighed down as much as I expected, considering the generous amount of product I applied. Will use this product again, perhaps sparingly.

Strictly Curls Curl Envy is different from the cupboard of other curl products I own because it makes my hair feel stunningly soft. It feels so soft it seems like different hair,that wouldn't hold curl,but the curl is definitely there! My curls look different to me, because there's no frizz or crispiness. Usually when I wake up, my hair is so dried out and matted it looks like dreadlocks; but it's soft, and not tangled when I use this cream. If you have dry hair, this is a great revitalizer, but it may be too heavy on naturally smooth hair.

I use this cream right out of the shower. It produces soft, bouncy, smooth curls whether I let them air-dry or use a blowdryer (with diffuser of course!). I looked a long time for a product like this - I love it!

My hair has a mind of its own! But this product helps me tame it and define my curls. The product suggests to twirl your hair (while wet and directly after applying the product) around your finger. I did this and my curls had a natural defined appearance! My curls were soft, bouncy, and princess like. After I used a dryer, I added a finishing frizz product. Two products, less than 3 nickle sized drops each of product...I have long hair and I'm totally sold.

I use this lotion to allow my hair to curl. It does seem to build up a bit, but because I don't want my hair to dry out, I do not wash it every day either. This is one of the better products I have used and believe me I have used a LOT of them.

This is perfect for wavy hair. I have hair that somewhere in between wavy and straight. I hate having to straighten my hair every day so I like to wear it wavy. The only problem is that the waves tend to fall flat by the end of the day. This is great because it keeps the waves in but doesn't weigh my hair down. I put it in when my hair is wet and thats it. As my hair air dries, it waves really nicely. This also does a great job at taming frizz. The only issue was that the scent is really strong when you first put it on. It is not a bad scent, kind of lemony sweet. But I have allergies and this is a bit much at first but the strength of the scent fades almost immediately.
