I usually use the Transderm Scop patch, (prescription), for motion sickness while flying. It works well but has side effects of dry mouth, dilated eyes and affected taste. Marezine works very well for me, but take at least one hour before flight. The only side effect is dry mouth for about 12 hours after. This is easier to use than the patch for short term flights, unless you redose.

I get motion sick very easily. With Marezine, I can fly and cruise with very few problems. It does not make me drowsy like other products.

One side effect, if taken for several days such as on a cruise, ween yourself off slowly. I stopped cold-turkey and got severe vertigo.

I was really worried about a cruise we just returned from and only really used this to calm initial sea legs. I did occasionally use something else for a headache, but didn't end up using the sea bands or other natural/bonine remedies that I bought. This actually works!

Facing a week-long cruise after finding out from the Doc on the last one that the patch is now only used in U.S. because it has been banned in other countries (something about causing psychosis in some users). Being VERY prone to motion sickness, I was a bit worried at trying something new, but trusted the other reviews I read about this product.
I needn't have worried, it worked great! No motion sickness, no dry mouth, no blurry vision, no sleepiness... just me!
The only thing I didn't care for was the fact that it has to be taken every 6 hours. Kind of a pain to keep track and I had to send my husband up to the cabin for my pill one night because I hadn't noticed the time. Another product is only once a day, but I have experienced break-through sickness with that in the past.
Alll in a all, this is a great product and I will use again!

I have used Marezine since I was about 10 years old - and I'm 54 now! This is the ONLY pill I've taken that works so effectively against motion sickness. It does not make one drowsy. My grandchildren just tried it for the first time, and it enabled them to go on a bus on a field trip without being sick. I only wish it would come in a chewable version for children who can't yet swallow pills. For some reason it is very hard to find, except online, which is a pity.

We recently took a long road trip to a week long vacation at the lake. This meant lots of car rides and boat rides for me. I never write reviews, but I felt I must tell others how well this worked for me. I have tried all of the other over-the-counter motion sickness meds that are common, and while they ease my motion sickness they do not eliminate it. I took this medication and literally spent 4-6 hours at a time on a small boat in somewhat rough waters without any motion sickness. I even read a little bit on a moving boat. For those of you who experience nausea and motion sickness, you know what a miracle that is!! I had zero side effects.

Last year my doctor prescribed a prescription patch for my vacation (also lakeside, boating, etc) It worked really well for me, but the side effects were 2 full weeks of flu-like symptoms after I took the patch off.

I cannot say enough good things, try it!!

I am elderly and suffer quite a bit from nausea-one of the
signs of old age I guess I have to put up with. I decided to
do some research and find something that would help.
One site on nausea was I admit primarily for th ose who
sail and get very sea sick. It sounded great for them so
decided to try it. Found out quickly it really is not for here
and there nausea f rom other things. I do admit it is probably
a life send for t hose sailing. Almost immediately your mouth
goes the driest I have ever had it. It is also rather expensive
but again I imagine if you are on a boat and sea sick you
will pay almost any price!. I know ginger caps are an old
standby so went with them. At first I was taking exactly
as the bottle stated and found if I had bad nausea to take
at least 4 and it really does ease it up quite a bit. Plus and
you probably wont believe this; I didnt at first when I saw
it as a good solution to nausa: eat marshmallows. You heard
it right. They do help; in fact quite a bit. I believe as the
marshmallows enter your tummy, the tum feels so much
better. I do also go back to, Dramamine when I need it.
It is probably the best over the counter drug for nausea.
when I have been nauseated before badly and dont have
any I get to the store fast and get the generic (much, much
cheaper than plain Dramamine plus there are also sites
on here such as Wonder Labs that have the generic
Dramamine at absolutely great prices and it is exactly the
sam ingredients as Dramamine). Years ago I was sailing
a few times and got very sea sick and yes, wish I had had
Marazine for quick results.

I couldn't have learned to fly without Marezine. Dramamine and other anti-airsickness pills left me drowsy and groggy, but my motion sickness actually caused me to throw-up on my Flight Instructor! Not good! Then, my Flight Surgeon told me about Marezine...What a miracle! I had no nausea at all, and I was perfectly alert and attentive to the complicated flying environment. (NB I later discovered "Sea Bands", the elastic cuffs with buttons that press on accupressure points on the inside of your wrists, I am also a Paramedic, and must ride in the back of an ambulance, caring for a patient and writing a report. The Sea Bands cured my lifelong motion sickness so completely that I almost never have to wear them or even take Marezine anymore.)
