I got this item for my dad, who is a hunter, and he loved it. We had a whole Christmas Carnage fiasco that lasted till the wee hours of the morning. I also purchased other Marshmallow Shooter products for the rest of the boys, and now i have to purchase one for myself for protection. Some of the reviews talk about the marshmallows get stick...FYI, the pieces all come off for easy cleaning, it's got to be clean in order for the marshmallows to shoot. Average of 15ft distance, you can even load it just right so it will shoot up to 7 marshmallows at a time. DO NOT use older marshmallows that are sticky. We used "Fun Mallows" from Kraft for a fabulous flavor burst

Easy to assemble. Sturdy. However, the bullets consistently jam up and won't fire. My husband told my son to carry around a thin tool that he can stick in and help the bullet along, but even when it fires it is more like the pellet it flops out instead of a shoots out. I bought the pellets specifically because I had read that marshmallows often jammed inside, but the pellets do too. Very disappointing.

I bought these for the kids for the yacht club 4th of July party. They had so much fun with it that the adults started using it. We must have had at least 50 passerbys ask us where we purchased these from. We strung a hula hoop from the upper deck of the yacht club and let the kids shoot through the hoop. We even had a tournament of shooting through the hoop. We had the kids close and with every round the kids had to move back another foot. We had the occasional jam, but it was a warm day so some of the marshmallows melted in the tube, but we were always able to get it back working.

We tried all the suggestions... different marshmallow brands, drying out the marshmallows, etc. the marshmallows still got stuck and didn't come out. Bummer that it never worked for us, would have been fun.

ok heres the deal I have the bow and the gun. Their both great I've had the gun for almost 3 years and its still amazing! I just got the bow and i love it even more. The bow does go a bit futther then the gun but both are good when planning a full on attack! Great to keep the kids active and out of the house. Moms need some time alone too! XD And as for the people saying they get stuck, masrchmellows are sticky you have to keep it clean :)

Bought this for my 18 year old daughter as a Christmas gag...she and her older sister were out in the front yard with this and silly string Christmas morning...there are marshmallows everywhere..

Got three of these for 13, 16 and 18 year old and it was the hit of Christmas Day! They promptly abandoned the rest of the wrapped items, built the bows and hit the yard. The younger two loved them and I heard the oldest telling someone it was her best Christmas toy, possibly ever! Really brought the little kid out in them. If ever they tire of them, I might get a chance to try one?? Oh, BTW, makes a stunning "swish" noise when it shoots. Yeah, these are awesome. I admit.

My son loves going around with this slung over his shoulder. Loading and firing turned out to be a bit difficult, as a marshmallow turned sideways in the cartridge sticks them all from that point. And soft marshmallows can get stuck anywhere in the gun. We rarely got an entire cartridge emptied before needing to disassemble and clean. But the bow is cool enough to be played with as a prop alone, so it still works as a fun toy.

Purchased two of these but they do not do their job. As stated in another review, the hole is too small for even stale marshmallows. We tried to find anything else to make it work. We ended up making our own marshmallow blow guns out of plumbing pipe and electrical tape that were more fun.
Hold Bow with one hand: Grasp the bottom grip with one hand and use free hand to pull on the plunger tubes.
Pull Bow string back: Draw backwards on plunger grip until string is tense
Launch marshmallows: Let loose of the plunger grip to release the Bow string and shoot marshmallows.
