I am taking this as a supplement during pregnancy based on my doctor's suggestion. She actually prescribed another brand called Slow FE, which costs like ten times the price of this product, but the nurse said this is like the generic version of it, so I took it. Assuming it's really doing what it's supposed to do, this is definitely better than the regular iron supplement I took when I had my first one. The side effect is much less pronouced.
