My orthopedist recommended that I wear a splint like this when walking so I won't re-injure my wrist if I fall -- I just got the cast off after having broken my wrist from a fall. It's great that this thing has thumb holes on both sides so you could use it for either the right or left hand, BUT the problem is that there is a strip of velcro running along the length of it. Don't the people who design these things ever use their own products? The velcro has the rough side facing my skin, so it chafes and leaves my skin red and raw after a matter of minutes. Too bad; this would have been a nice piece if not for that.
