I normally wear a popular mineral makeup line, but they don't really have dark, vibrant reds like Red Revival. I saw this color recommended in a fashion mag as a great red to try. One of the reasons I use the brand of makeup I do is because most "drugstore" brands of makeup give me allergic reactions. I was a little concerned about that, but to my surprise this lipstick didn't irritate my lips at all. It doesn't seem to have a fragrance, so maybe that is it. The color is a rich, true cherry-type red that really stains your lips. You better use a very steady hand in applying it, because any smudges are there for the long haul! And if your teeth aren't pearly white, this color really reveals that. Also, this lipstick is not glossy at all, so I always wear gloss over it. I normally like a more natural look to my makeup, but red lips are IN and it's a fun look for parties or when I feel like glamming it up a bit.

I love the pink color I purchased, but I did not care for the red. I think it depends on if it's a matte color or pearlized. I like the matte, the texture is nicer.

Whoa..this is a BRIGHT RED! Im not really a red lipstick person, but I have to try out a red lippie. Due to my coloring, I need a blue-based red and this is close to it. Better yet, if I don't put lip balm on before, it leaves a nice stain after blotting and I could put a clear lip gloss over it, The only con is that it isn't moisturizing.

I had just bought an expensive red designer lipstick at four times the price and bought this lipstick out of curiosity to compare it. This lipstick outlasted and outperformed the more expensive brand. The color is rich and long lasting. I bought it in red and received many compliments. It leaves your lips moist and shiny with even rich color. Forget the designer brands! I'm sticking with Maybelline.
