Define-A-Lash has a strange applicator that made the application of the mascara too gooey. So, I removed the applicator, and gently wiped the tip on a towel, and it worked perfect. It lengthened my lashes, and I was able to apply two coats if I did it quickly. I always follow up by combing out my lashes, to keep the "spider webs" from appearing. I like this product and I will buy this again....

I absolutely love love love this mascara. I've tried so many yet this one is the best one. It lenghtens your lashes while separating them and makes them look very natural. I always get compliments from friends, co workers and even strangers. The only problem with this mascara is that it is a bit difficult to remove, so make up remover is highly recommended, but nothing major.

I really, really tried to like this product. After all, I bought it with my own money right before I went broke. But I can't. What is with the bristles? They are super short in the middle and stiff like spikes. The short bristles hardly deliver any product. On the ends, the bristles are longer, accumulating excessive product which then ruins my outter eyelashes everytime, with huge clumps of mascara. The mascara is sticky and half-dries before I can even put on a second layer. Second layer = clumpy and gross every single time. My eyelashes become groups of 5 eyelashes instead.

I don't know what's worse, the brush or the formula itself. The wand of the brush is thin and too flexible. I like thick wands that do not bend, because obviously that permits a more controlled application. The rubber bristle design is terrible. But the formula itself just might be worse.

Summary: Don't buy this mascara.

I truly love this mascara. I try all the high end mascaras when they come out but keep coming back to this one. It does amazing things for my light, thin, short lashes. I don't know why I keep wasting money on expensive mascaras when this does everything I want it to! The other thing I really like is that it holds my curl and never, ever flakes. Please never stop making this Maybelline!!

I bought this to try it out. It is pretty good. I like these brushes with the rubber-flex bristles. It gives volume but not length, since it is a volumizing mascara. I usually do eyeliner and mascara only. It doesn't clump when you use it correctly. It did flake a little bit, but after a few hours after application, which is to be expected.

I went out on a limb buying this stuff.. probably wasn't such a wise move. Originally, this stuff was okay, but after a MONTH, it began to dry out. From then on, its made my lashes clumpy, flaky, and I ALWAYS end up with raccoon eyes. I will never be buying this again.
